I wasn't expecting to see this game launch until 2015 so I didn't see that coming, I have not made the jump to Next Gen yet and was wondering what game would force my hand into making the leap with Destiny been a possibility. Now I hear that Killzone Shadowfall is getting a 4 player coop mode I might look towards purchasing a PS4 so it looks like my Far Cry 4 gaming will be over PS3 & PS4 platforms - it will be interesting to aee what new animals weapons and settings we get with this game - I am sure I will love the single player - as for MP I hope that they have included the must have things we expect to be in every Far Cry game.
I agree the elephant in the image looks great, it will be interesting to see what part they play in the game.
Just a few days after the announcement of Far Cry 4, Ubisoft has revealed pre-order bonus content for the first-person shooter game. Those who purchase the game before its November release will have access to one hour additional singeplayer content in a Limited Edition.
The bonus hour content will contain three “Hurk’s Redemption” singeplayer missions, and will also feature the exclusive Harpoon Weapon. The description on GAME also adds the following details
Mission 1: Fight dangerous enemies in the ice caves of snow-capped mountains to retrieve a rare artifact. Mission 2: Fight waves of enemies while riding an unusual vehicle with Hurk by your side. Mission 3: In this epic bro-tastic conclusion, chase down an enemy convoy and save Hurk from certain death. Exclusive Weapon: Harpoon gun “the Impaler”! Use this modified whale hunting Harpoon with a Unique Skin Pack to shoot harpoon stakes!
Well, it would’ve been cooler if they hadn’t given the summary of the missions, and even more cooler if they had given more details on the Unique Skin Pack that they mention with so much excitement in the last bullet.
Far Cry 4 has already stirred some controversy with its cover photo, upsetting many who believe it to be homophobic and racist. The game sets itself in the untamed regions of Kyrat in the Himalayas, where a self-proclaimed king reigns with an iron fist and a despotic doctrine.
Info Found Here
The game is available for pre-order now on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and PC, and has a scheduled release date of November 18 this year for NA and November 20 for Europe.
I was just checking over this LINK HERE
Basically they picked up on a few things from the Box Art
When you zoom into certain parts you can see that the violence that is expected in a Far Cry game is still in existence.
With some poor soul currently trussed up in what looks like an Asian structure of sorts, which is absolutely no surprise as we already know the game is set in Asia.
The village set in the mountain in the background leads me to hoping that we are going to be climbing rock faces to attack villages and leaping of said rock faces to get away from the enemy soldiers.
The person writing the article is also hopeful that we might get to use those flags attached to ropes / wires as some form of zipline in the game.
That image above I found on deviantart - looks like someone spent a whole lot of time in photoshop putting that together.
