seems to be that the ENGINE has been transformed from 32 to 64 bit and also
rewritten to run on MP systems. at least that is
how it looks from Leiden Tournament where The King partipated on a core2duo machine.

this is a very big difference.

it would be nice to get MORE info about the changes in the engine.

That Cant be totally true unless it has the option to run either one. The system requirements do not show a 64 bit processor. The Core2 processor can run both 32 and 64 bit and may have been running 2 cores in 32 bit mode.

i have spoken to somebody who was in leiden and knows johan.
he said that THE KING in leiden was at least capable to run on 2 cores (such a machine johan used in leiden). as far as he said he (johan) did not test it on more cores, or is not sure how it would work on more cores.

and i was told that CM11 used this engine...
    so 1+1 = 2 means:

32 and 64 bit and both MP.

thats a very good thing IMO because
i have 2 cores and 64 Bit OS.

yesterday i ordered the program from a shop
    in UK (PNA Games).
we will see when i get it...

    if i get it :-)

The CMXI chess engine can run in 3 ways:
-Low resources engine: without the multithread and multicore options; used for low resources platforms
    - Medium resources engine: without the multithread option; used now as default
    - High resources engine: with the multithread option
Can change this setting from the Preferences->Engine settings menu
