    Alot of poeple have PMd me and asked for my P51 stick settings.
    Remember the p51 had an extremly senstive set of controls, especially the rudder and the elevator and if these movements are not dampened and filtered u will get a gunsight that moves up and down and u cant hit a thing!
    So here they are. Enjoy!

    These are for a Microsoft Force feedback stick so they should work for any stick at about the same size!
    Alot of poeple have 100 all the way, that is just ridiculous unless u have a stick thats exactly the same size as the real stick in the actual AC u are flying which 99% of us dont have!
    Try these out and let me get ur feedback!

    Just go to ur conf.ini file and open it, scroll down to ur
    [rts_joystick] and insert the above settings! Save ur current settings as a backup!

    These setting will make the AC feel abit more sluggish at first but it isnt!! What it does is to let u move the stick more without affecting the aircraft too much. Alot of people complain about stalling every time they fly the p51.. Thats not gonna happen with these settings!

    I use the same stick, in combination with CH pedals, and a X-45 throttle.

    Just remember guys, if you use multy controllers, you just can't copy paste, you will need to determine the propper lines to adjust to match his actual settings, to your rig.More on that here

    I have a question.

    I can't understand why the first and the last number of the 1Y axis are NOT zero, but 3 and 60 respectively. It is the same with other axes. I have no idea what the first and the last number in each array of numbers are for, so I used to take it for granted that they all should be zero.

    So, could you explain why you've changed them from zero to 3 and 60, etc?

    The first number is the deadband and the last number is the filtering.

    So, could you explain why you've changed them from zero to 3 and 60, etc?
    The tools in my sig will help you with that...
    (and others in need of changing settings...)

    Use IL2-Sticks for better understanding it all (as it comes with a Help file) and JoyControl for a more complete tool (as it will show the axis' deflections and resulting 'forces')

    Ok guys I have realiased a few things within the last weeks

    For those of you that have the CH stick, your CH stick properties will override the il2 inputs!
    It doesnt seem to matter what u set under inputs in il2.

    So to fly the p51 use il2 "CH control manager" and create a very gentle curve for the elevator and the rudder and aileron! Also decrease the sensitivity for it!!

    It matters what I set mine to in IL2. I use IL2 Joycontrol to adjust mine and it has always functioned properly.
