    Hils,

Look very good. A "WWII" style.

These wire in "V" are to adjust magnets position?

I see that you are master in use HALL sensors.

Thank you Sokol1. You work is an inspiration to all modders
The wire in "V" is the lever that moves the magnets arround the hall sensor. I´ve got a 70% of the hall´s tour, enough.

    Previous Designs

I have been trying to create my own controls for some time. I started by modding an old PSU, adding levers and controlling them with Leo Bodnar's BU0836. The outcome was this:

It was very fun to play with and very immersive, but since i do not have space for a proper arm-rest i suffered from tendon-fatigue . So i my next step was to build something as flat as possible, a bit less "cockpit oriented" and more "desktop oriented".

    Flight Console v2

I started designing it in AUTOCAD in order to see in 3d how it would function. After investing about 30 hours in designing i felt that it should be done right and searched for a laser cutter to make the plans real. After a small search, i found LaserMark Ltd in my town. It is a company that engraves guns, airplane and tank panels for the Greek Armed Force:
. Here is a video of engraving of jet airplanes on an aluminum plate: Lasermark@youtube.

I used plexiglas for the construction, because it was easy to find and easy to glue if needed. I used white plexi for the "face" of the console and black for the main body. I covered the white plexi with black self-adhesive vinyl film and then engraved the letters and cut the holes so as to be able to backlight the panel. I used 120 led-strip for light For controls i used once again the much-appreciated BU0836. This is the outcome:

    <span class="ev_code_GREY"> __ </span> <span class="ev_code_GREY"> __ </span> <span class="ev_code_GREY"> __ </span>

    Custom solution for head-tracking:

PS: The letters look a bit blurry, because i was supposed to peel off the remaining vinyl after the stencil-cut. But i didn't since i am too afraid that i will spoil it. See the detail on "C" of "pit-C-h":

    Throttles are easy to build.

I used the BU0836 from Leo and fab the base and lever.

I used a 270 degree turn pot. with a 5/8"knob against a 3" radius wheel, cut in half.

    Looks very good NuMcA_of_CS.
Me as a technoob won't be able to make something like that. But I like to visit this thread once in a while to see all those simpit images.
But do I see something in your comment what doesn't seem to be allowed to mention or to link?

Do you mean the comment about the controller and the engraving company?? I just wanted to present this information, to create a "How to" where people could find solutions on similar projects... If by any mean this is a foul play, i would be quick to change the post! Sorry if i crossed any line.
