For those complaining about damage nerf

Here is the video of clearing out a fort AFTER the latest patch which supposedly nerfed the damage. The damage values for warrior and hunter are lower. Assassin damage is working better, because an issue with ability damages not adding has been fixed. Crit hits are happening at the same, or better rate. After the patch the damage values seem more consistent and interpretable.

Note the gameplay does NOT show Hunter build.

    Some numbers with video evidence:
It took me 8 sword on fire hits to finish an enemy with round sheild. This is post update 1.1.2 https://youtu.be/N2YM2-D5iXs?t=229
In my previous video, with the same build, it took me 7 hit (because I was full health and +30 damage with full health was active), to kill the same enemy. You can check the previous video. https://youtu.be/8rRtoXq3NNM?t=59

Both video links start at the point where I am taking on the same enemy. So you can easily compare.

Edit: There are a few additional things which I need to test, regarding which specific parts of warrior and hunter damage are causing an issue. If the issue were about additive, then assassin damage would have been impacted too. Will update the post once I test everything out.

Warrior and assassin damage isn't affected as much as the hunter damage was. I mean, its a hunter HEADSHOT, how can a headshot be overpowered? Before the update, normal arrows didn't kill elite enemies, understandable, but the other arrow types like poison, fire or death arrow could take them down with a fully charged shot. Now after the update, not even those work even with a dedicated hunter build. Its annoying using special abilities each time you want to kill with stealth with an arrow 😒

While I do agree that assassin damage has not been affected, the warrior damage has been significantly decreased. While I was dealing 600k-800k damage with Ring of Chaos and Flaming Attacks, now I deal 200-300k damage with the same attacks. This change has made the combat way more interesting to me, while it was totally boring in 1.1.1.

The enemies health seem to be nerfed in a similar wayy to. Yes the numbers are lower, but each hit chips away close to same health.

I can confirm the damage models, at least from a Warrior gameplay perspective, are basically the same. I checked the posts here and was a little : / at first, but waited til I got in game to decide. I did see your post (@show_stoppa) too, right before I loaded in--so I was optimistic. Good catch on noting enemy HP had been nerfed as well. Did not know that.

So yeah, it's still gravy for us Warriors at the moment. I'm a No-HUD, +Nightmare, +Falx, No passives to HP or Armor guy, and I'm still dropping everything at about the same rate. Fights are fast and brutal, but still favor the enemies just enough to where I have to combo a few (2-4) attacks to drop them. Still sitting @ 50k Warrior damage for each weapon set (51k now, thanks to the 30 AP) Still perfect. Still can often one-shot a trash mob.

Bounty hunter walked up and I hit him with Devastating Shot > Bull Rush. Dead.

And now that we need, what? 1.1 mil for an Ability Point? Yikes. Sowwy Gweece! UR ****ED.

My Alexios be like, "So who's this Kratos guy I keep hearing about?"

And just in case someone's like, "The hell you know?" :

    27,500 kills.
    400 assassinations (LuL)
    1750 Mercs RIP'd.
    1400 Ships sank.
    0 Girlfriends.

    mwah.

    THIS.
Can I ask what difficulty level you're playing on? I'm on Normal, Warrior build.

Plus, I'm getting MUCH better loot drops from kills! I just got 2 purples in one area and some pricey ring. SWEEET.
I love this so far, but let me test out my fire on a Cultist & go for a few captains.

    BBL

    *edit in*

That might explain why I'm not suffering - and whats better is that every Merc I spec out on my map is only 1 level below or my same level so far... 2 levels were getting useless to bother with for recruiting or Loot and were getting too easy.

It's just UBI trying to put the Assassin back into Assassins Creed

Assassin damage has not been boosted. There was an issue was assassin ability damage, which has been fixed, and now it deal tons of damage. Everything makes much more sense now , in terms of damage being dealt based on the engravings you are using.
Also it is not a bad thing tobring assassin back in assassin's creed.

Forcing people to play assassin by nerfing the hell out of the hunter spec is not really bringing them back.

assassin had some issues, which lead to lower previous damage. That has been fixed.
Hunter with headshot was wayy OP because headshots were not accounting for crit chance. every headshot was being a crit. That had to be fixed.
    Warrior stays the same.

Overall SOME of the multiplicative engravings, which were not additive before, have been made additive. The health of enemies has been adjusted to account for this.

So overall, the balance of the game is much better. You were never supposed to 1 shot mercenaries, at nightmare, from a distance. Heck, even with assassination, unless the crit chance plays in, it was difficult to one shot mercenaries, but hunter was doing that. This has been fixed. If you see the above video, the game realy hasn't changed for warrior or assassin players.
