So how's the romance in Assassin's Creed Odyssey?

The last AC game I played through was Black Flag. Was a big fan of the series up and including that one, but kind of lost interest and never got past the first hour or two of Unity and haven't tried one since.

I heard a lot of good and bad about AC:Odyssey https://downloader.vip/the-pirate-bay/ PutLocker https://appsync.biz/123movies/ everywhere, but I wanted to ask about the aspect that really got me interested in the game when they first announced it: romance. For a while, I saw tons of people say Ubisoft was kind of picking off what Bioware isn't doing anymore (but then, I've never actually played a bioware game). And I saw this article and thought that sounded super cool too.

Call me shallow, but I figured playing a decent game where I can play as a hot bi protagonist had to be cool and interesting, I'm a sucker for romance in games in general.

However, since the game's release, I've heard relatively little about how it's actually implemented. I saw someone on /r/Gaymers call the romance scenes "disappointing" and I saw someone else say that it's all "fade to black." The latter can mean a lot of things though: I'm not really looking for awkwardly animated banging as much as I'm interested in well-written character attraction and relationships. Some sensuality is a bonus, but I'm not looking for porn here.

Well, if you like banging everything the game offers for the sake of banging then yes, romance no it ain't there unless you kick on homewrecking. That story has the most "romance" in it.

Luckily, the game offers way more than this debacle that I would never call "romance".

In my opinion, there are some very beautiful written romances and most of the "flirty options" are written very well. They feel really natural and how it would be if two real persons are flirting with each other.

It's a bit sad, that when the romance is "finished", you can't keep flirting with that person, but you have still gotten a nice, fluffy romance.

They're rubbish one-night-stands lacking in any depth or follow-through so avoid if it's the romance you're into.

I'm not far into the story (purposely) so I don't know either but I set everything up last night to take Roxanne's side mission this morning -
I heard she wasn't ugly and was romancable. Alexios #Failed in his first attempt and at level 33, he's getting pretty lonely.
This time I'm saving game and if he fails again, I'll just retry other options till he gets lucky in love.

As for Romance input, I like both styles but they have to build a good foundation with a longer romance - it can't be done too quickly.
I liked Ezio's brief womanizing & interest w/ the Courtesans and I also liked when he settled down with that one special woman he admired, Sofia. The way that whole story was written in Revelation was so well done imo.

It all depends but good story telling with the attraction they build is important - even in quickies.
I have always said that I prefer romance in Assassin's Creed - and now esp. when games are going to be longer w/ RPG, but I don't think every game needs a long romance.

Nothing special to speak of for most of them, just a little dialog and a cut scene of kissing .... However a couple let you add them to your ship and there are several that are more humorous that I enjoyed including a twist on Oedipus in a place you don't see it coming ...... Most of the ones with Alkibiades who I thought was hilarious

Best of all it is entirely optional although I think some people are missing out on getting a couple of Lt's for your ship at a point you aren't really able to get any decent ones yourself although most people have Evie and Bayek I believe and they are both slightly better

Romance is not deep and no adult scenes are shown because sexual intercourse is such a taboo, while butchering your enemies is ok and all...

Ok, honestly, they don't need to go into intercourse, do they? .... lol
Next up, OPTION choices for Rated G, PG, R or softcore. Have sex your way .

I think the love scene btwn Ezio & Catarina was far enough and good enough. They could do the same w/ future games & I'd be fine with it.

All romances are one night stand except one of them. Kyra and Thaletas are a couple, and you can decide to romance one of them...

The other two mildly developed romances are not really very romantic. Alkibiades is a man-*****, and he makes it very clear from the start that he'll have sex with anything that moves. Daphnae forces you to kill her, like, wtf.

I'm assuming that Kyra/Thaletas just took too much development time and that's why they limited romance so much.

Romance is garbage in Odyssey. It's nothing more than a few generic "flirt" options from some npc you encounter, which can lead to a "once and done use your imagination as the screen fades to black" hook-up. Meaning it's never seen whatever happens and they apparently do whatever fully clothed. Some can be recruited, and might offer a brief cut-scene interaction with them at a later date on another quest, including another fade to black "hook-up" if you pursue it. If you are expecting Witcher 3-esque romances, this isn't it. And unlike W3, you can have a harem of romances that get recruited and they'll never even know the others exist on the ship.
