    Developer Update: Buddah Box

    Hey everyone! It’s Toller and it’s time for this week’s developer update! Let’s get started!




    THIS WEEK

    EVENTS

    Welcome to another great week of South Park: Phone Destroyer! We’ve recently finished up our latest 24 Hour event and now we’ve got an exciting Challenge on deck! This weeks’ challenge is really fun and fast paced, we think you’ll really like it. It’s called the “Spell Bender” challenge: all spells cost 1!

    This challenge will test your speed and deck building skills for sure! Good luck and post some screenshots of your best challenge deck below! We’d love to see them!





    BUDDAH BOX


    Namaste, friends! South Park is back with an all new episode this week and we’ll be having an event featuring content from the newest South Park episode. No spoilers here, so you’ll have to wait for the event to start! You can see the press release for the next episode here!



    Cartman has been diagnosed with anxiety in an all-new episode titled, “Buddha Box” airing on Wednesday, November 28 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.




    The point requirements are as follows:

    While you may not have your very own Buddha Box, this weekend you can get more in tune with your phone than ever. This will also be a special event! For this weekend only, we’ve reduced the number of phones required for a PvP pack from 5 down to 4 and the PvP pack timer is reduced from 4 hours to 2. This should bring out your inner zen and allow you all to focus on gaining rank before the Legendary season reset!

    Hey everyone,
    Buck here: A few new details for the weekend. First off, there will be a brand new outfit to get in the 8th pack of the Solo rewards. Secondly, we've also decided to try something new this weekend, and we'll be running another challenge, starting on Saturday at 1PM UTC. This will be the Ultra Zap challenge (2x Zap range and extra damage). For the first time ever, you'll also be able to earn weekend event tokens in the challenge mode too! So if you don't need to climb that Legendary ladder before reset, you can earn your event tokens (and packs) by playing challenges!



    DEVELOPER STREAM

    Our Live Streams continue to entertain and/or enrage! Tune in this Thursday at 10:00 AM PST/1:00 PM EST to hang out with BlueBadger400 and ItsJustBuck as they play some challenges and chat with all who stop by. I’ll be there too, hanging out in chats and giving away all kinds of great prizes. If you missed out on a copy of Satan or some of the other newer Legendary cards, this could be your chance!









    SEASON ENDING AND BALANCING

    As the season comes to an end, next Tuesday, December 4th, we’ll be releasing some balance changes, as is tradition. We mentioned them last week in the Developer Update, but we now have the full details, so here they are!

    • Grand Wizard Cartman- Base ATK increased from 26 to 32, decreased attack and power animations, to allow him to hit a bit faster. Decreased the power charge time from 20 to 15 and also increased the power radius from 3 to 4. There were also adjustments to his aggro range, to ensure he would be less likely to “chase” an enemy after knocking them back.

      EDIT: Ability Damage increased from 40 to 60 at base level.
    • Imp Tweek- Decreased cost from 5 to 4. Also increased base HP to 158 from 144 and increased base ATK to 35 from 32.
    • Pope Timmy- Decreased base ATK to 52 from 64 and decreased knockback on attacks by 50%, to keep him in line with Mecha Timmy. We’ve also increased his ‘walk’ speed slightly.







    CONTENT CREATORS

    Last, but certainly not least, we’re re-opening our applications for content creators!

    Why are you making an epic on par with a legendary. Shouldnt it be less strong than Mecha? The fact that nothing changed about the revive ability still leaves him OP.

    Balance changes

    The change to Imp Tweek is fantastic. I think he definitely needed that. He definitely shouldn't have been a 5 cost, good work!

    Pope needed that nerf, he's way too OP right now (I use him & I'm admitting that)

    As for GWC - these changes are not going to improve his usability. You ruined the usefulness of him when you introduced Satan - an archer with just as much health & attack power, which also deals massive war cry damage to everything in the vicinity, who also costs 6 energy, like GWC.

    The only way you were going to be able to improve GWC's usability was if you made him a 5 energy cost card, or increased the damage dealt by his charge considerably IMO.

    I have a question, well more of a statement. Why aren't we given event points for winning a match. It's ridiculous for us to win a match and open 3 lockers only to not collect any points. Winning a match and getting zero points is really irritating.

    Don't quote the entire statement from Toller, you doofus! Especialy if your question has nothing to do with the statement and has been asked many, many times already.
