    As long as the fuel supply lasts, I suppose. I think it's only an aerodynamics problem, unless, of course, a few parts of the engine came off with it...

    I think the cowling is most intact but its hard to tell from this angle. It does appear to have folded or partially sheared off. On a 737 it clam shells over the engine. A friend gave me a tour of the hanger where they work on their 737's. Very interesting and some things haven't changed from the old days (still use cables to move control surfaces). I'd worry more about the 3 bolts that hold the engine onto the mount. Bet the mechanic & supervisor/inspector got reamed out good for this one.

    Worse things have landed - but - yeah difinitely a Gremlin from the twilight zone
