A PVE DZ would bring a ton of players back no doubt. If this won't happen then at least allow me to turn off proximity chat for other players so I don't have to listen to xXrouge4life420Xx (intentionally misspelled Rogue) tell me "git gud nub and quit game go kill yourself" because that is the main reason I hate the DZ, the stupid degenerate players that inhabit it.

HIGHLY doubt it. PVE players ALWAYS push the carrot out further.

Youd get your pve dz, realize how boring it is, and then move onto the next thing to complain about

You think running circles from midtown, to pit, to Q, non stop without any tense excitment of rogues or other players is really going to be something that adds replayability to the game? Itll get as boring as running Lexington on repeat after a week

I´m foremost an PvE-player and i wouldnt think running the small DZ without rogues would be any fun. The DZ might work if it was that you only met the occasional rogue.
Though they need a true PvP-area for those that like that part of the game more, and for me i would like a bigger area with more storydriven combat. And to think they have this big LZ that doesnt do anything substantial right now.

My 2 cents, please give us a purely PVE DZ. I for one as a season pass holder have almost given up on this game. I would gravitate more to the DZ purely as it's open world like the main map and I like this about TD. Am not interested in the PVP this game offers via the DZ and as others have posted I wish to completely avoid it. Not making any apologies for this as it's my time and money.

Would like that PVE aspect to also carry over into the main map, I have no issue with tough mobs wandering around lower Manhattan for example as at least if I am killed I won't get the total d'bag type chatter via proximity and jumping jacks and camping at the respawn point......the list goes on.

I know a lot of people like me would really like to have an option to be able to play solo. The way it is designed now makes it almost impossible.
I think the PvE and pvp parts needs to be separated in some way. I'm not sure that a PvE DZ is the solution but it would sure keep a lot of players happy. Why do people care if it is easy or hard earned loot? (Solo farming DZ 5 and DZ 6 is hard as hell for sure). The majority of the PvE players are not going to use their gear in the pvp DZ anyways so why do people care about how they obtained it?
Are pvp players worried that everyone will be running around in the DZ with maxed out gear? That would probably keep a solo player alive for another 1-2 seconds against a 4 man team.
Now I really like to play in a group but I also like to farm solo and test my gear out.
I think that this I what most players are hoping for.
Underground, HVT's and incursions are too linear in my opinion.
Maybe there is a way to use the rest of Manhattan outside of the DZ... Give PvE players really challenging NPC's (level 33-35) with named bosses that actually drops rewarding loot. Keep them respawning all over Manhattan... Why not?
Am not a programmer so going in blind here, but why can't it be instanced like how it is when you exit the Base of Ops? That's a different instance for every single player out there. Speaking from a DZ point here.

    Yes! Why can't it..?
That is not going to bring back NPC's worth taking on in the LZ but if it's as simple as that... Why not? That could keep the player base and changes can be made from there on...

Yes. Yes we do think it'll bring replayability to the game. The idea of playing is to have a sense of accomplishment. Have the opportunity to leave with better gear than you came in with. I've been ****canned by plenty of 34 and 35 level NPC's as is. I don't need a roving crew of 4 ******bags making it more difficult, and extracting the stuff I got from killing the bosses. You want gear? Kill the bosses yourself. Oh wait...you do that too, then take my stuff in addition. Only a few deranged individuals, and rogues themselves, find "excitement" in the prospect of losing their stuff to another player that out gears them, out mans them, and likely has better skill than they do. THAT, does not add replayability. It makes you want to punch babies in their f'ing faces. I've had numerous instances in the DZ where we were free of other agents to contend with...and playing against the top end NPC's was plenty riveting. They're tough as nails, outnumber you 5 or 6 to 1 most times.... Yeah...it's nothing at all like running Lexington on repeat. Even Lexington is fun...especially when you time your runs and attempt to set personal bests for how quickly you can make it through with different builds that are less than optimal...or using lower gear score gear.

It amazes me how time and time again, people who are a proponent of PvP try and tell PvE players how we all enjoy the game, or won't if we get what we're looking for. There is a real deep seated fear among PvP'ers that we'll get our own DZ instance, because no one wants to enter the DZ knowing the only players they'll come across are well geared, adept PVP'ers. The thought of losing their gravy train...being able to farm the farmers...really REALLY drives you guys nuts, even if you won't admit it. If we leave, at best you're left playing only good players who like to go rogue like you do and may be better. At worst...you're left with no one to pick on, and will essentially be left farming NPC's, just like we want to do to begin with.

The fact is...farming hapless players is easier than farming the high end NPC's. You all know this. You'd rather kill players with 9 items, then have to pick apart mobs trying to get one piece. Well **** you. I mean that in the politest of ways, too. Seriously. We're tired of going to the candy store just to have you guys waiting outside the door...beating us up and stealing it instead of earning it yourself. Again, I understand this is a built in mechanic and it's working as intended, but it sucks, we hate it, and it's why we want an alternative. Now the developers can give it to us or not. Either way, you're going to lose players from the DZ when they either play that alternative, or quit altogether. The PvP crowd should be searching for alternatives such that the player base doesn't disappear, PvP can thrive, and everyone can have an equal opportunity to both enjoy it, and succeed in it.

When the Dark Zone gets fixed there won't be any need for a PVE DZ. The people that want a PVE only DZ, are just tired of being spanked around by 12 year olds, and not being able to enjoy their quiet time off work the way they want to.

That said, if the DZ was balanced, those PVE'ers would stand a sporting chance against attacking players.

Balancing the DZ would be good for rogues too. Rogues like to think they are the absolute bad dudes at the game. When skill, not gear set bonuses, and stuff are what determines who the big dogs are rogues are going to have more of a fun challenge.

I've been on both sides of the coin here. I've been the pve guy who got some awesome hard earned loot ganked from me, and I've killed PVE'ers just because I stopped trusting people. Either way, it's a rush.

No PVE DZ needed. Fix current DZ.

Another thought...this won't go over to well, but whatever. Some people weren't meant for DZ play. That's the nature of the beast.

Get a load of Survival...that looks promising...

Throwing out a half formulated thought out there (it's late, I am tired).

Pick a team upon enetering the DZ.

Red: Looking to go rogue at any opportunity, can kill and be killed by Blue at any time, White when rogue. Goes rogue on the first shot fired, pistols included. Appropriate rewards for success and penalties for failure.

Blue: Not looking to go rogue but willing to fight them. Can engage Red team on sight without going rogue. Cannot kill white team players. Appropriate rewards/penalties.

White: Not looking to PvP. Cannot kill or be killed by Blue team. Can engage Rogues on sight, but not Reds. Appropriate rewards/penalties.
