Note: This add-on joins the German and Japanese Chat packs that were released last week. Many Thanks to Wiley for hosting the files.

The Chat pack files can be added to FB's "Inflight" Music folder and they will "play" in the back ground as you fly your missions. They are real immersion enhancers giving the user "semi-realistic" radio chatter from other flights performing missions in nearby sectors.

Also in the works, a Russian-English speech pack to replace FB's stock Russian speech files.

Soon, those of you who don't speak Russian will be able to fly VVS and understand what's being said without having to resort to the in game subtitles.

Assuming everything works out as planned, the new speech files will be voiced in english by Russian actors, proper accent and all. That should keep the immersion factor going.

It'll take a while to complete the project, but I'll try to give progress updates as we go.

One last thing, until some one with the know how, steps forward to create a program to apply and remove the different chatter packs, they will have to be changed manually every time you decide to fly with a different side.

I would prefer to have all the spoken chatter that corresponds to the displayed text in English.

I understand that you can simply place the American voice files in the other folders and hear everything in English. But this takes away from the game a bit. I would prefer these voices to be in a native accent also in lieu of the very "American" USA voices. For instance, the German pilots would speak English but in a heavy German accent.

This way I could disable the corresponding chatter messages displayed on my screen while inflight. Does anyone have replacements for the voice files that fit the above description of what I would prefer to have?

I do like your idea of using the music tracks to produce the residual radio chatter of distant flights.

SodBuster43, do a search for the BBQ voice packs. There was some of what you described, I know I worked on making a German-sounding accent in English.

I've just put the files on the server:

The files, compiled into one Zip (19.9 MB):
    http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~chapman/fl...ianchatter.zip

Folder providing an overview of all the sound files:
    http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~chapman/fl...am/SoundFiles/

The Russian chatter files are available individually as "R 0.zip", "R 01.zip" etc., if you want to try them out without downloading the whole pack.

Thanks to TripleA for his work.
