Can we have a "hardcore" setting in conf.ini that allows us to always start with a 'blank' plane on the runway?

Magnetos off, radiator closed, chargers on stage 1 and what-not.

I also would like complete manual control of everything in US planes.

    <pre class="ip-ubbcode-code-pre">
    Specs:
More expensive than the dining set.
    Less expensive than the couch.
    Smaller than the dishwasher.
Just as noisy as the refridgerator.
    Faster than the cars' computer.
    Less practical than the car.
Face it, people who put thier computer specs in thier signature are pretty ****ing wierd.

Yea, and dont forget the mixture! At least there will be some use for magnetos.

    Definitely has my vote.

The more switches and levers I have to throw before the plane starts, the cooler it is. Especially when it's Maddox accurate.

That's the *one* thing I liked about CFS3--the multi-step manual starts. Mags on, breakers set, fuel pump on, battery switch on, energize, flip starter until the engine turns over.

Much better than just pressing 'I'.

Hmmm .... if this is implemented, we'd want various levels of difficulty ...

Some of these planes took 1/2 hour to warm up ready for flight (we are talking 1940's technology).

NOT funny on a DF server with a vulcher hanging about ...

These things would make a real Complex Engine Management as it was promised for FB. But now it is crippled...who cares about magnetos? fuel pumps don't exist in FB/AEP... selecting fuel tanks is not necessary ...mixture has only small effects etc.

    I have even cooler idea:
Can we have a setting in conf.ini that allows us to always start as black hole on the runway? That way I'd spare a lot of time on futile attemps to take off without crashing

    Altitude, speed, manoeuvre and.... CRASH!

    good one.

As mentioned, if only all this had more effect - would be wonderful.

I push for more simulator and less arcade personally.

    Salute!
