Does anyone know where (if 1 exists) I can download a player to view .trk files outside of the game?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

no such thing as far as I know....
tracks are part of the game engines embedded code.... with no relation to the outside world

I don't know much about it... but I assume it goes something like this....
if you play a mission using 'auto' for the players plane... or have no player... you can just watch all the action by going from plane to plane or use the static cameras
when a track is recorded it notes all the action and paths taken and your imputs too....
then when you replay the track... it is as if you start a mission... but it uses all the recorded movements to make things happen....

without the il2 game engine it would not work would it..........
I imagine I am partly correct in my assumptions here.....
thats why you need to record your best tracks with Fraps and make movies of them, otherwise they will become unplayable each time the FM is changed in a new patch
