I wanna make this topic again so that people who bought these tracks can give their opinions on the charts, and talk about how these songs were to play.

There are official topic for general DLC discussion, but I want to avoid discussion of the DLC not being released on certain platforms, or people's personal opinions on the band or the song choice itself.

I just wanna talk about what the songs are like in the game, and how fun they are to play.

So those who have downloaded them, give your opinions. Which of the songs did you enjoy playing the most? Which of them were a little boring? Which would you recommend for others?

The songs are not in the DLC list yet, but they are definitely in the store. Use the Search box to find the songs you want.

I played Ace of Spades, Rainbow in the Dark, and Renegade and I thought all 3 were really fun.

Ace of Spades - not complex, but a fast rhythm that you can just bash away like you're on speed. Even the solo didn't strike me as being too difficult (but I still did not play it at 100%). Great challenging bass line as you would expect. Fun, low-intermediate song, IMO.

Rainbow in the Dark - ok, Dio is my jam so get out your salt. This one is pretty repetitive, but still a fun power-chord jam that I could play all day. Both lead and rhythm tracks are very similar except the solo which is way out of my league. Bass line is pretty simple but moves a bit with some minor variations. Another solid low-intermediate song.

Renegade - the bass line really stands out for me on this one. Not terribly hard, but the song has such a sold groove that I really enjoyed playing bass more than guitar on this. Those huge bass chords with the (keyboard) sirens during the bridge to the last chorus sound awesome. The guitar parts were fun enough and again, not too complex, but I only got up to 60% on this one and it still felt like something was missing for me. Will have to keep working on it.

Someone else can describe the other 2 since I didn't play them. Hoochie Koo bass line looks to be the hardest one of the pack, though.

Warrant's "Cherry Pie' is a lot of fun, just got to 27% on it so far, great song, one of my new favorites

You managed to get one reply that was on topic. That's one more than I expected.

I played Styx first since that's one of my favorite bands (need moar!). Renegade on bass was very fun and not hard although in the middle there are a few chords and one harmonic A7. Still I managed over 93% by the third play and jumped into score attack. Easy was freaking easy. Medium was better but the A slide and chords were missing. As always Hard threw it all at you. I hadn't reached 100% on LaS yet but decided to tackle the Hard SA anyway. I got through the traffic jam in the middle but 2 notes from the end I was grooving a bit too much and missed an note so I'm a touch under 1,000,000 points there :(

I played Motorhead next, again on Bass. Again a very easy song, probably the easiest of the three I played tonight. Lots of A7 runs with a few dropping down to A5, A3, and A2. Add in the D5+G7 chords and D7+G9 chords and you've got the song.

Finally I played Rick Springfield. The hard part there is the reach. There are several E2 -> E5 bounces and a few E3 -> E5 -> A3 -> E5 type runs. It's not really that hard if you're good with the fretboard and memorizing the riffs fairly quickly.

This pack overall is great.I have played through all the songs several times on rhythm and a bit on bass. I have not touched lead yet, so my opinion may be skewed. The standout is Rainbow in the Dark on rhythm. Difficulty wise none are extremely tough, but they offer a lot of things we don't see often in releases. There are micro chord changes in Rainbow, quick finger barre changes on renegade.Ace of Spades is a classic song but I would say its the lowlight of the pack...that being said even as the lowlight of the pack its still better than most songs released recently.Rating them in order solely on rhythm trackRainbowRenegadeCherry PieRock and Roll Hoochie CooAce of Spadesgood stuff all around great pack,
