while looking at development updatets recently, i suddenly rememberd these nice interior shots from the 110-g2. so i went to the FMB and dropped one of these birds on the runway and jumped into the pit, switched to rear gunner position and.....no, no matter how hard i tried (pushing the mouse from side to side like a maniac) all i could see was the guns. even dropping some acid didn't produce the visuals i was looking for. was that beautiful area behind the gunner's back, with all the instruments and all, modelled in vain?

and if you should dare to ask, yes i've tried isane manouvers in the air to hopefully slam the gunner off his balance, but no, he's glued to his seat..

Easy. As gunner, your mouse only controls the guns and they don't turn much. To look beyond that you must map some keyboard/joystick commands to the Snap or Pan views. I do it all the time in all gunner seated planes. Do what I say and you too will soon be witness to the back of the nappy head of your Fb110 pilot. You too will be tempted to thump his ear.

*-- Don't forget to map a centering view command so you return to the default front view...what as pilot returns your view to front of airplane as gunner it returns your view to look down your guns (wherever they are pointing and not down the airplane tail). This is some remarkably great programming they did here.

Next, use both mouse gun control and Pan/Snap view together to see some really cool panning around from gunner seat.

Also when using TrackIR allows this as well. TrackIR controls head movement, mouse controls gun movement. One of the things I have really enjoyed about the TrackIR is it adds as much awareness to the gunner positions as it does the pilot's!

This has to be without doubt the best cockpit/rear gunner station ever rendered in 3D

I love switching to the gunner pos. in flight in the 110. and just looking around. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/crazy.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

also if you dont have trackir switch trackir=0 in your config file. This makes you not have to hit A to control the gunners with the mouse. As soon as you switch back to forward view it puts them as ai operated
