Hi,

I have not yet bought the game.
But I saw lots of complaints about patch 4.
Here are what I think the reasons for some of the problems.
Cracked games have a large fan base and I do believe the performance of a game may differ with regarding whether a game is legal or cracked.
Also they can be affected by your PC specs.
So I hope people who actually bought the legal game and meet the specs of it can give me some feedbacks.

So far the only real problem I read about patch 4 is its compatiblity of SLI card.

So my question is:
For those who bought the legal game, do you feel patch 4 gave you an overall improvement of the performance compared to the previous versions?
What are the biggest problems about patch 4?

Thanks a lot!

Personally I didn't really see much difference with Patch 4. Maybe a few less desyncs. I am running on an under spec PC and everything is fine performance wise. Still a few things to fix around the club co-op side of things.

Then hopefully they are working on patch 5

For me, the game didn't change significantly since patch 2 and likewise I don't expect it to get too different in the future. Encountering bugs neither happens too often nor is uncommon. I played the game for a few hours this afternoon (finally finished the main story) and these are the major hiccoughs that happened to me in that time:

Arno stopped responding to both mouse and keyboard; he didn't even get stuck in a wall or anything, he just ceased to cooperate. I had to fast-travel to a nearby location to get him unstuck.
In one of the missions, I was following a person that was escorted by a few other NPCs. At one point, they stopped moving. I waited for a few minutes until I realized that they wouldn't continue. I wasn't sure if they were physically stuck (although they weren't in a tight space) or if there was something wrong with the AI. I tried to "reset" them by diverting their attention to some firecrackers (which usually works) and then by smoking them. Eventually, I got off the roof and repeatedly showed the main character by running into him until I got him a few yards further, at which point he proceeded to run as if nothing had happened.
In another mission, I needed to pickpocket a guard, but the guard hadn't spawned, the room on the map where the yellow indicator pointed me was empty. I took a walk around the block and returned to the same room and there he was.
an unrelated information kept popping up and preventing me from reading a clue; unwanted pop-ups often block desirable text due to poor design, but usually they are only shown once and they disappear after a few seconds, but this one wouldn't go away

The other day the game kept crashing during the cutscene following one of the main story's assassinations. Usually, you can skip cutscenes, but this one wouldn't let me. I had to re-do the mission over and over until the cut-scene finally played through. Apart from being really frustrating, it was also bizarre, because before and after that cut-scene, the game ran fine (well, without crashing).

In short, the game is playable (as playable as it's going to be), but you can expect to bump into something frustrating every few hours of gameplay.
