S! I'm thinking if it's possible to generate a campaign in "host mode" (non historical) but without to choose airplane type, etc (in the way a historical campaing do), I mean, automatic airplane selection.

Salute!

Yes, after AEP and/or BoE patch.
All the new options and a link to the beta of it are discussed here:

LOL, just found it at simHQ forum. If anyone want to know look at those .dat. Look at a modified .dat and then compare with yours. The differences are "nAttBlue:-1 Random" (also with red) and "anyrandom". Well I think it's this the way now i'm going to try it.

jeje same reply time. Another question.
Should I match planeset in campaigncustomnormandy.dat and normandy.dat?

What about quantities, does .dat file look into .db one?

Salute!

All planes used in Campaign*.dat (GUI file) must exist in .DB file, and have corresponding roles assigned to them.

That is for Attack group in GUI the plane should have "4" bit set in it's role in .DB file. For Escort, it should have "1", and for Patrol "2" bit set. ("7" plane means 1+2+4 = all roles, "5" plane means 1+4 = escort and attack).

And the plane must be "physically" capable to do it, that is even if you give He-111 escort role, it will refuse to do it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

All these conflicts though are not fatal, if you make a mistake in Campaign file, the generator will simply ignore it and will use something suitable picked up randomly. I made 3-4 mistakes of the sort myself in AEP and BoE releases, hopefully all fixed now.

S! we've begun the host-choice campaign. One of the mission was set 4 B17 strike, and 6 p38l provide escort ( 0 planes for recon mission). Then , the enemy (all IA, random planes). But the funny thing is that the report of the mission said that a little bomber formation bombed during morning and now a couple of p51 have to go to the area and recon it while the 6 p38 have to escort them. ehhe is this normal? I wanted to escort the b17s...ok, it's fine to me, the generator seems to have some degree of freedom even when I tell him the condition...
The report is (direct from the file):

"
nDate: June 11,1944\nTime: 16:30\nWeather: 0/10 clouds at 1,500 ft\n\n\n2 of our P-51 are given the following assignment for today.\n6 P_38L from Maupertus will provide escort.\n\n\nEarlier today a small bomber force attacked targets in the Cristot area in an almost complete overcast. As the weather improved, this group is to reconnoiter the area and assess the damage caused.\n\nDistance to target: 43 NM\nFlight Altitude: 13,000 ft\n\n\nUnfortunately our assets are limited at this time, and we can't dedicate planes specifically to our next objective. However we have the following orders for planes from the other flights not engaged by the enemy, and with enough fuel and ammunition after completing their main objective. \n\nThey are to fly a CAP in the Ravenoville sector, which has seen an increased amount of enemy activity in the recent days. No additional information on potential targets and enemy strength is available\n\n\n
"
Can anyone explain-me who gave p51 instructions? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif
