I think this may have been asked a long time ago. First, which planes in FB have operable extinguishers? Second: how effective are they?
I've not had much success in them making any difference, but perhaps I tried it in a plane not so equipped.

TB3 is the only one and they work effectively.

"Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary force:
You are about to embark upon a Great Crusade toward which we have strived these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. Good Luck! And let us all beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking" - Gen. Dwight D. Eiseinhower-Supreme Allied Commander.

The P38 has them too since v2.01.. Whether that is realistic I don't know..

Fiat G-50 has one too. Can be used 5 or so times, though I've yet to remember it was there when I needed it! This bird also has ammo counters in the pit. Really a sweet ride... too bad it's so dang ugly. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Funny thing about that Fiats... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif G.50 maybe isn't prettiest bird of WW2, but it has some unidentified attraction. For me at least. I just love it. For that extinguishers, DxyFlyr THX I dunno that.

Its not realistic. I sent Oleg proof from the pilots manual. It said there is no extinguishers in the P-38 in the pilots manual. I dont know who told Oleg or what referance Oleg read that said P-38's had them. It will be removed in the next patch.

"Most P-39's were sent to the Russians - so I guess that was an American secret weapon against our Russian allies."
