View Full Version : What additonal aircraft will be in AEP first patch

I was in fry's last night and they've got the AEP, a bunch of boxes for sure. Also, they've got the bundled versions as well. I think that's a big step for 1C:Maddox. I mean the AEP Sturmovik stuff had some positioning right at eye-level, not hidden down on the bottom shelves somewhere.

Got my AEP at EB the day it came out, and I've been happy enough with it...but I got to thinking.

It might be good information for people who haven't bought AEP, if 1C:Maddox would release a few ideas on additional aircraft coming in the first AEP patch.

Doesn't make sense not to share the information, if it is sure to be included in the AEP patch.

B-25 would be an awsome addition the Soviets recieved over 800 B-25 lend lease IIRC.

I don't think the Tempest is ready yet...but things can change quickly around these parts.

I'm expecting 4 versions of the LF IX (E and C types, plus clipped) and apparently Oleg has modeled a HP IX (high alt?) which I'd never heard of. Plus the B-25's as AI planes and that I-185 I think is the collection of planes in the patch.

Ju-88, B-25, and others flayble later...no idea when. Crossing my fingers very hard in hopes of as much good stuff as possible!

Can't wait 'till I get my hands on the new Polikarpov. Finally another Russian plane for this sim.

BTW does anyone know if the new patch will be for AEP users only, or will also be compatible with original FB?

I was reading in Mike Spick's book, "Luftwaffe Fighter Aces", as I recall him mentioning the Luftwaffe pilots seriously evaded aerial contact with Typhoons.(BADDDD)

100% sure: 2 variants of i185

and possible: ki61 (2 or 3 variants) and lagg3 and yak modifications. At least I heard from Oleg that the last two are in making. And creator of ki61s said that they (ki61s) might be ready for patch.

The patch will be in around 2 weeks (head that from Oleg)

well since we are getting the C and E wing MkIX's i might as well show you the toys we will have to play with on them http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Variant B - 4 x .303 inch machine guns + 2 x 20mm cannon
Variant C - 4 x 20mm cannon + 500Ib bomb load
Variant E - 2 x .5 inch machine guns + 2 x 20mm cannon + 1000Ib bomb load

I dont know if it will ever be put in but theres something i like about the B wing loadout

If we get the C wing then ooooh sh*t is Jerrie in trouble http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Actually something like 95% of Spitfires equipped with the C type armament actually had only 1 cannon and 2 .303 machine guns in each wing. The armament arrangement is essentially identical to the B type armament except that there was provisions for either machine guns or cannon. In terms of design its a bit different and the cannon fairing is a bit thicker but ultimately the same if you are looking at the basics.

The only 4 cannon equipped Spitfires were sent to Malta and they had their outboard cannons removed apon arrival. I believe the Mark 21 was the first Spitfire version to standardize 4 cannon.

I find it interesting and comforting that the Luftwaffe attempted to avoid the Tempest. Probably under 20,000 feet.

I-15bis, if we're really, really lucky.

We got most of the Finnish junk, now we need the plane that did a heckuva lot of fighting against it.

You know, it's almost like Forgotten Battles was designed for the Winter War....

i know for a fact what spits we are getting in the patch.

Gibbage has heard from Oleg that there will be three types of mkIX + clipped wing versions for two out of the three.

LF mkIXc
LF mkIXc (clipped)
LF mkIXe
LF mkIXe (clipped)
"HP" mkIXc (standard wing only)

there may also be bomb load outs for the mkIX but as of right now it is not offical.

As for the "HP" variant oleg says its the high altitude engine, i put it in quotations because historically the high altitude variant was labled the HFmkIX withthe merlin 70 engine. so we will see how it is explained when the patch arrives.

fun times when the patch arrives "be sure" http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

This is just a bit off topic, but I was wondering if Oleg is gonna give us the first Spit model that was flown pre-and early BOB. I'm thinking of the one that cut out, at neg g's. I realize they just put a metal plate over the carburetor at first to help with the issues, but still the Spits had to roll into split S to follow the 109s down.

I'm thinking in terms of the coming BOB WIP as I mention this.

And all i would like is the full ordnance for the Hurricane...a.k.a...The Hurribomber...still all extra warbirds are a bonus, but more loadouts for most of the aircraft would be sweet http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Oleg definitely has got one thing right, the aircraft are tops.

I remember downloading and tweaking like crazy in MSFT FS2002 and all the MSFT CFS1,2,3 aircraft. I wound up with the craziest bunch of aircraft stuff imaginable. I remember the awful F4U I replaced with an orbital thing that looked like an F4U and manuevered like a Zero, that would run 600 knots flat out level. --- Wow were those the days.

The MSFT FS2004 is just about as bad, but the sim is definitely a class above FS2002 now. I don't need to say anything about MSFT CFS3...it's just in the tank (toilet bowl)!

Keep up the good work 1C:Maddox, and if you really get ambitious; give us an FMB equal to the quality of aircraft. We'll all be in Sturgeon embryos (Caviar) then.

Weren't there F Mk IXes or don't we just get them??
Don't know much about Spits, but wasn't
a the 8x .303 wing
b the 4x .303 + 2x 20mm wing
c the 2x .50 + 2x 20mm wing
and e the "universal wing" with various gun (like b and c) options?
