S!
I wish the the p38L came with this feature in our game. "One interesting improvement was the installation of a new tail-warning radar system. It would signal the pilot through flashing lights and bell sounds when an aircraft was in close proximity behind the aircraft." I got this from http://p-38online.com/p38l.html. That would be so sweet to know when I was getting bounced by a A8 or A9 so i could bail out in time lol.

Late war P-51's and P-47's also had this feature. The P-47N I believe had this standard, and it is due in one of the next patches, or PF, but I doubt the tail radar will be included.

Good hunting,

What if there were no hypothetical questions?

Wouldnt you guys rather have some decent mass produced plane than a small frill on late war monsters?

No because it's the small things that make IL2/FB/AEP/2.01 to what it is today

of course if you say: choose, small thing or good Dm's and FM's and guns damage(no not just the M2,I'm talking about 1 shot blowing away a wing)
then I'd go with that but now,I don't think they will do that http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

So i'll go for the frill

(damage models need more levels of damage I feel)

We do have it already, kind of http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif Sitting in Your cockpit, take a look behind, under right vertical stabilizer. Those small sticks protruding out of it are antennas of the radar You mentioned. If only it worked...

P.S. - as for the "signal the pilot through flashing lights and bell sounds" part, when a good blue team shooter gets on my six, I see lots of flashes and fire all around my crate, and I hear "bang bang" sounds. I guess that is a convincing "signal" for me http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Oleg said he would program this in for the next patch.

In RL, most pilots turned it off because when your in formation it would often go off. It did not give much warning at all. I forgot the ranges.
