for some reason initiates was no longer showing AC3 being linked to my uplay account so when I tried to run AC3 uplay said my savegames were out of sync between the cloud and local storage so I chose the local one in case the cloud hadn't updated the last time the game had saved and now my savegame is showing corrupt
How did my savegame randomly corrupt for a game I haven't even played for 6 months?
I would be angry at unity for corrupting my savegame there but I would understand it better b/c i have been playing it than AC3 randomly unlinking from uplay then corrupting my save file, the only thing I can think of is initiates was the last thing to access my save information for AC3 to update itself on my progress there so did that corrupt my save somehow? I really hope your not telling me that after all the time I put into AC3 completion (wasn't 100 but according to steam i had spent 146 hours on it) that my save file was overwritten on the cloud, which i'm rather hoping wasn't overwritten by the one the game now considers corrupt.

not really angry but I do expect this to be fixed I don't consider this to be a trivial problem being that i spent 146 hours on that save file.

Hello Purifier_Magnus,

Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately I don't have any information about the AC Initiates system. I know that the issues affecting syncing data from legacy games is supposed to be resolved as stated in this FAQ (http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php/955733-Update-on-AC-Initiates-and-Frequently-Asked-Questions), though there are users in that thread commenting that they are experiencing ongoing issues.

Unfortunately, as I have no information on their system there are limits on what kind of support I can give, but you may want to post on the Assassin's Creed forum or contact the Ubisoft Support team directly to discuss any issues you're experiencing.

With regards to your game save files. When you're presented with the choice of which files you want to use (Local or Cloud) due to a conflict between the two, in general the conflict is resolved by the ones you choose to use overwriting the ones you don't choose. If that's what happened, it's unlikely there will be a way to restore your old game save files. However, the team who can tell you definitively what's possible is the Ubisoft Support team.

You can contact support through our ticket system's webform found by clicking on "My questions" on this page: https://support.ubi.com and then clicking "Ask a Question".

If you have any issues using the webform, you can contact support for assistance through their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/UbisoftSupport, Twitter account: https://www.twitter.com/UbisoftSupport or by phone: https://support.ubi.com/en-us/FAQ.aspx?platformid=60&brandid=2030&productid=3888&faqid=kA030000000eiChCAI
