View Full Version : Stuttering with SLI

Game stutters every 2-3 sec. with the physics (hair, cloths) going wild, especially during cutscenes. I've got 3770K @ 4.4Ghz + GTX 680 SLI + Win 8.1 + latest 344.75 drivers.

Here's a post of another guy with a GTX 690 (which is 680 SLI in a single card) having the same problem along with a video showing it:
https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/788861/geforce-experience/assassins-creed-unity-stuttering-problems/

I've tried lowering the settings to 1280x720 and all Low to check if it's due to lack of vram (I only got 2GB per card) but it didn't make any difference, plus if I disable SLI stuttering is completely gone but framerate takes a nose dive.

Hopefully this'll be adressed in patch 1.4 as i'm unable to play like this.

The fault lies with the game and not with SLI in general.

Yeah, SLI is bugged in ACU. I've had those cards for 2 years and my experience with SLI has been generally solid with very few games having issues, ACU and FarCry 4 being among them.

On the geforce forum SLI users seem to constantly have problems... I often ask Nvidia for an extreme driver that is not restricted to having to work on a gt210 as well as quad titan z's I think if an extreme driver aimed at 680's and upwards for sli etc was made it would help the driver developers focus on higher end cards performance.

Follow these steps and it might help..
1.Turn of the shader catch off
2.Change the Frame Per Second rate.

I'll try it later...

I too have 2 780's but have no stuttering issues. Do you have textures set to Ultra ? Mine are set to Very High. I read somewhere, that for Ultra you need 4GB VRAM
I also have the latest Nvidia driver installed
