is there a way to get a refund, i have never in my gaming experience have i felt i needed to call for this.

so you guys dont think im asking for a refund because im playing on a potatoe, im not.

windows 8.1 pro
AMD FX 8350 Eight Core 4.33Ghz
16GB of ram
Xfired Saphire R9 280X's

Now if there is anything that should be able to run this game, its this. i would rather my money back then hope that they can fix their potato of a game, my hopes are not that high at this point.

Out of curiosity, are all your drivers up to date? Some people have recommended it. Usually when I buy a new AAA game, I check to make sure all my hardware and software is up to date. Secondly, have you looked in your processes to see if something might be running that MIGHT interfere? Not likely, but sometimes one program doesn't want to play nice with others.

One problem might be your video card.

http://blog.ubi.com/assassins-creed-unity-pc-specs/

http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+HD+7970+%2F+R9+280X&id=51

So according to videocardbenchmark, your video card is ALSO called a Radon HD 7970. That's the MINIMUM card for Unity. As well, it seems (again, according to vcb) that it tests well below the other minimum cards.

I'd first make sure the drivers and such for the card are up to date, but my guess is you might need a better card.

HOWEVER: I don't know very much, and so this should not be taken as anything more than drivel from another internet nobody who doesn't actually know anything. It's just a suggestion, eh?

...
I feel the same way. I'm a fan of the series since the original Assassin's Creed, I own most of the games, all of the titles that I own are digital deluxe or base game + season pass, this was the third title that I pre-ordered... And I want to quit.

As of the last patch, the game is crashing. Before the 1.3 patch it did a lot of things, but at least in 20 or so hours it never crashed, and now... Last time it crashed after just 18 minutes inside. It's the last straw. After being frustrating since day one, it has now gone to unplayable for me and I have lost faith in their ability to fix it.

In any other case, I would have thought that the DLC was a nice touch, a true token of respect that meant something. I even thought so this morning. Not any more. What is the meaning of gifting a DLC for a broken game?!

Cozmon, try disabling crossfire. If that doesn't help - what can I tell you?!

i have
i7 4790K 4.4Ghz
16GB DDR3 1800Mhz
GTX 770 OC 3GB GDDR5

if somebody tells me that this card is weak, and its the problem of my microsuttering, that man must be sick....

Game is corrupted, cuz in no other modern games have such a hardware any problems like that!!! Patch 1.3 didnt fix that issue.... Even in the fact that I have a lot of FPS, but its unplayable due to microsutter

Calgerion, you should be able to play. I have a very similar setup.

i7 47701 3.5 ghz
16gm ram
GTX 780m 4gb gddr5

I have had NO stuttering. Now, I have about 25% more video memory, but 3gb should be plenty. Like you said, GTX 770 is NOT a weak card. It's a grade below RECOMMENDED but it's above minimum and your VRAM is at recommended levels.

Are all your card drivers up to date?

Calgerion, try setting your textures to "Hgh"and not "Ultra" (one notch below the highest, whatever it's called). On top of that, you may try 1600x900. You should get a smooth experience, but no guarantees with this game.

I'm running :

i7 4770K @ 4.2
16GB DDR3 2400
2 x 290x crossfire (14.11.1 beta drivers)
Windows 7 SP1 x64

And it's running absolutely fine on Ultra/MSAA2/HBAO+/Soft Shadows - 1080p
The only problems i had were because i didn't update my drivers to 14.11.1, after that it was smooth sailing.

Even my old :
i5 3570K
16GB DDR3 1866
(Currently 5870) - (290 broke)
Windows 7 SP1 x64

Is running it nicely for a 1GB videocard... yes it's at LOW but still at 1080p... not crashes yet.

I have updated my drivers and the game actually runs worse after doing so. ill do one more test that QA people are supposed to do and not run the game in crossfire, (which is should be able to do flawlessly).

with using only one card the game runs much better, no matter the graphic settings i still have issues with this game. especially when i turn the camera, it gives me a head ache and hurts my eyes. definitely not a constant 60fps no matter the settings.

Well, that's something. One of the 14.11 drivers should help with crossfire (it has for some folk).

By all accounts they don't care for PC gamers. In one interview an employee said most of us are pirates (I forget who) and Alex Hutchinson recently compared us to terrrorists. Must be why I own all their AC games besides AC 1 which I did buy on the PS3 years ago when it was first released.

My mistake it was another employee of Ubisoft that compared us to terrorists:

https://archive.today/tvy30

Alex Hutchinson just labeled everyone who didn't have an FOV slider in Far Cry 4 as a pirate when in fact it just meant they hadn't downloaded the latest patch.

I don't think that it's something AMD can fix.

Thank you very much for taking the time to do that. I found it hard to believe that people who work at a company as big and public as Ubisoft would say things like that, but you do have sources! Thank you for answering my question!
