In the update pics the Tempest has rockets mounted.

In 464 pgs in 2 books on the Typhoon-Tempest I can find only one pic with rockets mounted. No date is given. Now lots of Typhoons had rockets but the Tempest pics only have drop tanks mounted.

Is this rocket loadout for a 1946 scenario?

I believe the Tempest could carry rockets in combat if needed. But if I remember correctly the Tempest never used rockets in combat.

Interesting, i always saw the Tempest as an upgraded Typhoon... and Id just assumed it did the same job.

So was the Tempest used just as a low altitude fighter, while the Typhoon did the A2G work?

Tempest did alot of fighter work and V-1 interception. Not sure if ground attack was performed using bombs but not rockets. There were still significant numbers of Typhoons in operation until the war's end so it is likely they performed most/if not all of the ground attack. I'm too lazy to look it up now, but if I get a chance I'll try to get a better answer.
