S!

Greetings,

I have two questions regarding the openable canopy.

1. Will there be a canopy open landing veiw? A veiw where you can lean out and see a little better. I recall this view on carrier based fighters in good old Warbirds 2.x Some aircraft even had like little expandable door panel to assist in leaning out to get a look, but pilot definatly could glance out.

2. Will pilots need to open/jettison the canopy before bailing. this would be cool, specially if there was a chance it could jam.

Just wondering?

S!

Cheers

Answer to question 1 is definitely no. However there is talk of another view available with the canopy slid open which would be as if the seat were adjusted up a couple of notches to give you a better view for landing.

Question number 2 is unknown, as far as I know anyway. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I'm kinda wondering about a Japanese pilot flying around with his canopy open...will he hear wistling death as I dive on him in my corsair? Or hear gunfire better etc... like you can if you go external in aep

AMEN Bull_Dog! I can't wait to come down on them from the roving high cover section in a flight over Rabaul and have those Zekes scatter or die trying. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/mockface.gif

Not to change the subject, but I downloaded the latest video's...the one with the Betty bombers...I noticed (to my suprise and joy) that the ship's AAA had no smoke trails!!!!

I hope this is kept for the final version. I've just never seen any footage where you could see smoke trails from ground AA units.
