Think for a moment. All I read on this board is how most Western fighters were high altitude this or high speed that. People tell me to fly above 4000 meters and never turn. But on what online dogfight server will you ever find any Red above 4000 meters! And if you do they just dive down when they see you.

Why do the Reds win most of the time online? It is because their planes were designed for low altitude turn fighting. Western front planes were designed to either escort high altitude bombers or intercept high altitude bombers.

Since all dogfight servers are low altitude turn fights can you all at least admit that within the confines of this game the Reds have an advantage. If there were bombers at high alt (or if there was even correct flight dynamics for high alt) the Reds would have to come up there and it would be a completely different story!

So to all you IAP jocks who think you are so cool, remember you wouldn't stand a chance up there where the air is thin!

And YES! I am having a bad day!

Is this an invitation to join a 1941 server with MiGs? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Been working on missions at 5000m.
This height you have to relearn everything.

The game FB is a low Alt. .Just the way the eastern front was fought.
ETO is a different game all together.

As to dog fight servers. These are just pure games not reaility. They fill a needed niche to the overall game itself. There fun.

As to the Russian ACs best below 4000.
Yes to what was massed produced & needed in the field.

If you look at the russian low production test models.
You will find that if the air war had developed different . High Alt. flying there were planes ready to meet the demands.
To me the russians were more prepared then the germans to fight at high alt if the need was there. Not in production but design.
Why would they have developed the B1. To fight high alt bombers.

If you are having trouble getting kills in an A-9, you need practice. The machine is deadly, just WEP climb to above your target, and then dive on him with 2x30's, 2x20's, and 2x7.62's.

That makes him die.
