Why Stand alone work? Sam is part of an existing team, why not add a 2nd operative? Aside from that though, no one as yet knows what the game will have or play like.

Stealth does not mean singularity. A mission could be sufficiently large enough or important enough to warrant more than one operative in the field.

I am so flaberghasted by this "Sam is part of a team" BS...

Go tell my cousin who is getting his a$$ shot at daily in Iraq that the guys back at HQ are "part of the team..." He, being the good military guy he is, will say, "Of course they are..." but get him home and a couple beers down him and the truth comes out. They are part of the organization, and an integral part without which his job would be impossible. But do they get the nods that his fellows get? Ummm, taking out the colorful military lingo, it would be something like, "...no...those..........are not......" and so on.

I think saying that since there is a supporting structure in the first installment, this is the same as having multiple operatives is just crazy talk. And it doesn't make a lot of sense. How in the world having some voice on a com compares to having another agent at your side equates is beyond me.

I stick by my original feelings that it is not a good idea. SC was WAY more than snazzy graphics and a bithin' light engine. It was WAY more than the sum of its parts. I really feel that much of that will be lost with having a 'team' approach.

That being as it may, however, the arguer in me still just can't sit by and read sillyness like, "Sam was part of a team in the first game" with the argument being that it is no different than multiple field agents. Bleck. Take that 'logic' home.

well, don't forget, g088, some and most levels will indeed be single player, look at the screens, lol. just because some missions, which you don't even know how many, have multiple operatives, it don't mean all of them do.

and stop it with your sarcasm, if your brother was being shot daily he'd either be dead or discharged. besides, you shouldn't make judgements that it will definately be worse. you haven't even played the game, and with all of the other improvements, it could even turn out better than it used to be

I think co-ops is a great idea,it puts new depth to the game. It makes it easier and more challenging at the same time! It also keeps its solo missions so i'm good with what the previews are showing.

Your gun should be your LAST choice for a solution.

Sam will still do what he does....he is a lone operative....for those missions where one man isn't enough Third Echelon created Shadow Net - a team consisting of 4 (assumably) operatives.

I think they should stick with sam only. If you have played games like ghost recon and rainbow 6 your team never finds cover and always gives you away. Stick to Sam it fits the stealth aspect of the game better.

Iam wit you on having someone helping sam fisher in the missions but if he is any thing like the ghost recon soiders that are stupid and always get shot in the beggining of the mission where I need them really bad I think that would really suck because that mite make less people get it at al

Because Sam is a lone operative and plus the people at UbiSoft meant for there to be only one Sam Fisher because the story behind it is all about Sam's personal life and two Sam's just would not cut it.

I am doubting that they will make two Sams. Like mentioned before there are shadow nets that will be deployed when one man just isn't enough. But I think the single player part should be all Sam.
