So, My brother wants to play assassins creed Unity, but he never beat IV. Will he still be able to play Assassin's Creed Unity?? Please keep this Spoiler Free. Thanks.

It is completely unrelated to ACIV from my understanding... though it is always a good idea to finish/play each game in the series.

Yes he can play Unity. Other than themes familiar with every sequel, Unity is it's own animal. You don't have to have played any of the others.

I don't want to spoil anything like you said; however, there are missions where you learn more about the modern day story. If you want to keep up with the modern day aspect I recommend you do those modern day missions or you can read the assassin's creed wiki page about it. Be aware, the modern day story is really confusing but very rich in storytelling
