View Full Version : A suggestion for DF server

First of all, sry for being rude last time and ty for fixing the FM's.

Now, i have a suggestion for the DF game online. Can we have an option to allow planes of one side to start in the air, while forcing the others' to start on ground? Why i ask for this is that i think it can bring much more historical feeling to the DF server.

For the bomber groups and escort fighters took off alot earlier than the German intercepters, this gave them alt and speed advantages to pass through the JG's below them while German had to wait for their arrival and climb up to catch them. It isnt like anything i see in DF server: bombers have too little room to gain alt because the bases are too close. Yet a huge map will just make the game boring, so why dont let us to have one side to start with alot of alt? It can simulate the situation of both defensers and attackers without ruining the gameplay and give those bombers more chance to survive, it will be nice to see more diversified types of planes in game, too.

For the base location, of course it shouldnt be any existing airfield inside the map. But allowing players, on the attack side,to sprawn on the edge of the map can make the screen more convincing.It will be like they have flown a long distance and meet the intercepters' bases on their way to target cities.

Creating a exit point or edge on other side of map, moreover, can even identify the role of the level bombers more clearly: i.e. let players score by flying through the map with flyable planes and bombloads, this game will then be much closer to reality, on the other hand, encourage heavy bombers to carry out their more properly, instead of like parking at enemy base to capture it.
