Hi!

It is great to have these updates every week. Something to look forward to on the long Friday...:-)

The planes look great, I really like the Hawk, and I hope it will be flyable (with AEP or some day). Also, BOB looks very good indeed. Mouthwatering...

Now, may some day have the Cr.42 and IAR80 on the updates too?

Trucks look nice 4 BOB.

it's strange, isn't it. You stand in the middle of a library and go aaaaagghhhh' and everyone just stares at you. But you do the same thing
on an aeroplane, and everyone joins in.

Nice update! The Hawk sure looks like a nice little ride.

Only thing is that agree with Xanty. When are we going to see the Cr.42?
It's great to see that the Gladiator is in next week's poll for next week, but surely it would have been nice to show both togeter. "Blazing Biplanes"... sounds like a "Commando" comic http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Well the ubisoft FTP server seems to be getting hammered really bad.

So I'll mirror the Ta152vsP51.zip file on my webspace until 4gb has been transfered. Should be fast, it always maxes out my cable modem at 425kb/sec.

download it here (http://telven.com/stuff/Ta152vsP51.zip)

I figured you'd be salivating uncontrolably. That Ta-152 is freaking awesome! Looks like it'll be like other FW190's...a solid hand on the controls and she'll be fine. Nice firepower! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

You know I am lol, I can't believe they released a video of that plane in particular. I notice they didn't zoom in on the gunsight and the plane never seemed to roll quickly, probably keeping the mystery alive by not showing everything. It did look like in at least one turn that it was very tight indeed, after flying the sluggish Dora up high, that will be a nice change.

I agree with you, I think it's going to be an improved Dora and my gut instinct is that it will handle to her in a very similar way.

Did you see the object viewer thread that showed some of the TA152's performance stats? Pretty interesting I must say.

Well there IS the YP-80....and the P-51D-20 with the ace maker gunsight I'm sure will be quite deadly.

At least the Yanks will now have a full complement of fighters. We're still working on the Spits and Tempests http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

weee a mustang variant with slightly improved chances! Oh wait, the enemy will never be in my reticle, they'll be behind and above me raining 20mm/30mm death on me. The P-80 by all accounts I've seen isn't up to scratch with the 262, and it's a moot point anyways since most servers will probably not allow jets anyways.

I too would LOVE to see some Tempests, Typhoons, and Spits. To bad the La-7s and Ta-152s will trounce them as well.

Hey, the Yanks need something to handle their ego http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The He162 and the TA152 saw combat and shot down enemy planes , the p80 didn´t. But guess how the Yanks would whine without this babe.

At least with hte P80 the german birds won´t get banned anymore, which alone is worth the shooting stars inclusion http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Outstanding!
If anyone is interested in learning actual proceedures for landing a formation of aircraft on a pitching deck like a well oiled machine, the Blacksheep will be happy to show you how it's done! I flew carrier ops in the Navy for 20 years and have taught the Blacksheep as well as a few other CFS2 squadrons the proper case rocovery's and I'am glad to pass it on to the serious PC pilots that like to take on new callenges.

I've been talkin' to a few of our allies that are still in CFS2 and they say when the Pacific Pack comes out, CFS2 is all but behind them - except those that don't have quite enough 'puter to push the IL-2 graphics. The naval unit detail thus far in IL-2 is nuttin' short of breath taking. The only thing beating it is Lock On. I, as well as fellow Blacksheep and VF-2 members, are truely looking forward to setting down on a beautifully graphiced model of a Lexington/Saratoga,Hornet/Enterprise, or Essex class carrier.

Correction...the P-80 never shot a plane down in WWII but had the ones deployed run into an enemy plane they surely would have traded fire with it. Beyond that, there were P-80's that served in Korea (an update to be sure - but not too different). So its not like the plane never existed, never fired its weapons, or anything like that. Whatever, not trying to start an argument http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Love the new update BTW. But next week we should see something like the P-63C!
