Hi!

Wouldn't it be great to have a "guncam-track" that would
be recorded everytime you pressed the trigger? Like an
ntrk dedicated to firing of the guns. The track would
start recording when you pressed the button mapped to the
trigger and stop when the the trigger is released.

Then afterwards you could playback the "guntrack" like a
regular track or ntrk with the recorded shooting back to
back using different views. The perfect view would be the
no-cockpit view without crosshair and the annoying arrows.

It would be really cool!

I don't believe it! There's someone here who instead of whining has taken the time to come up with a good idea! And he's new too!!! Maybe some of you guys can learn a little something eh? /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Good idea Wild_Swan! I'd like to see something like that get implemented, and I think it should be fairly easy to do to boot. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Now get over to Oleg's Ready Room. It's a great idea, IMHO.

Yes it would be great if this could be implemented by the IL2-FB team. You can use a piece of third party guncam software with IL2 at the moment - go to http://www.errthum.com/troy/warbirds/guncam/ read the instructions and download. I used it a lot on my old Win 98 machine with the original IL2 - not sure if it works with Win XP and FB although I see no reason why not unless Java and XP do not get on together.

Of course you can still start recording a track as you shoot something down then play back via the zoomed in gunsight view or no cockpit view for guncam effect.......
