I was looking through a "time" article and it says Unity will only run at 1080p on pc's that must be definitely wrong surely ?

Thank God AI of 5000 will be the burden of the CPU i previously though that GPU will have to keep them alive xD

And in somewhat way the devs also confirm that console r weak in terms of processing power

I thought I'd seen a debate somewhere about Unity having some strange resolution options that were not even used on a pc ! I cannot believe Time have got this right. They shouldn't be able to publish it. If Unity is 1080p only it will definitely prevent some people from playing if they cannot change resolution lower. There would also be a few who would want to play at higher resolution as well.... so this cannot be true... is it ?

I guess the lock @ 1080p will not be true i think the resolution is set by the monitor which u r using like i have a 1280x1024 monitor i cant use 1080 for that or will i get a out or sync error for not using a 1080p monitor

And the Title of the article is Only pc's will run it on 1080p no for console according to the article

I think the article is just saying that the PC can achieve 1920x1080, not that 1920x1080 is a locked resolution for the pc. I can see how you can interpret it that way, but I think we are safe from a resolution lock.

same article but no mention of 1080p or any lock for Unity and as DarkSolitudeX said there are many ways to interpret things :)

It wouldn't have been very logical to lock PC settings at anything, considering how unique most setups are. If they did lock it at whatever number, I imagine the outrage is going to be a whole lot worse than the "console parity" debacle. Heads will roll.

I hope Ubi isn't purposely making PC requirements suck to keep people mad about the parity playing consoles
