http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif How do you aces feel about gamepads? I am a newbie, but I really enjoy using a Saitek P2500 Rumble Pad. It is programmable, and does not take up a lot of space on my already crowded desktop. However, as a newbie, I was wondering if there were any inherent advantages to joysticks, since that is what most of the posts refer to. Please sound off http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I can't even imagine how one would fly with a gamepad! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif As an extra for the buttons, OK, but as a main controller???

I guess (as I haven't flown with a gamepad) a joystick gives you much more precise control and I like having a slider for throttle, too.

Joystick has got to give you more control and feed back (with FFB).
I wouldn't dream of using my Freestyle Pro for FB!
