The biplanes are what made the Aces expansion jump in value more than anything else.

I realize you're super busy, but just take a look at the little movie I made showing the possibilities:

Actually I think their needs to be a completely new sim for WW 1 I would dearly love to ge my hands on the controlles of a fokker D series, Neuport Camel or a Spad. The World war one aircraft I most want to fly though are the ones least likely to be in any new sim based on that war. I want a Zepplin bomber flyable! I don't think it has ever been done in earnest and I really like airships(good potential for fire effects too) also there wouldn't be too much whining about turn rate I think. Seeing the Ilya Mouremets in a flight sim I don't think has been done and that would be neat.

I would pay either way. I am sure there are modellers capable. For them to form a paid group may be possible. A whole seperate sim might make that viable. There are small companies (I know of one) who would also be capable of doing the models as a project.

I think a seperate sim will be necessary as the authenticity standards of IL2 cannot be met for enough planes from the WWI era and artistic license would need to be taken on cockpits and small details. A limited number of standardized instruments would save much time and expense on such a sim as well, and I for one would not mind especially if it meant the difference between a sim and none!

It would be a lot of fun to see about flying those planes more as they were with the quick stalls on most wings and other nasty quirks. Torque... real powerful torque! Spads and Camels killed more trainees than died in them in combat! They rolled over like round bottomed boats. It's been said that if you can fly a Camel then you can fly anything.

Pitiful that some people will bump their own threads.

Thank goodness I'd never stoop so low!

(hmmm, not even a smiley for the movie...must try harder.)

Have you heard of Knights Over Europe yet?

Here is a link. It is due out in Q4 of this year. This site has not been updated for some time. They are having a 3rd party create a new site for it, so in the mean time, we will have to settle for this out of date one.

I am positively SALIVATING waiting for KOE to come out.... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/784.gifI used to be a holy terror in an Albatros...

But until then, your wonderful little bipes will serve to ease my craving, Oleg...Thanks!

FB landscape grafix is NOT good for WW1 western European front lines.

Oleg's 1930s Expansion Pack would be better--stuff 800hp engine into a Sopwith Camel and you have a real live Gladiator. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

P~26
Hs~123 (actually better at Army support than Stuka)
Bf-109 B, C, and D "fantasy planes that don't belong in WW2 sim"
Ki~27 , A5M
I~15 , I~152
early I~16 type 10
Hawker Fury
French stuff too
Polish P~7 (I think)
Erbriac is modding Avia B~534 over the FB now
Somebody is modding CR.32 over the FB too.
SB bomber, Martin B~10, Ju~86, Ju~52 bomberhttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif , cool Brit bombers too

After BoB, MED ecc. ecc., i would like also a Maddox WW1 sim. I remember Red Baron II 3D, it was absolutely fantastic.

In the future..why not, but i agree with Luthor not with FB engine.

Now, we'll have Gladiator and CR 42, not WW1 ok but..........

For me is ok, WW1 before Korea.
