Played for an hour or so last night, online winter map, close bases. Just modified one of my original "Knife Fight" maps.
All were 1936-1939 only...well, except the IAR80, that was included as it was truly years BEHIND the times when it came out.
For the first time out, we had about 6 flyers on and off all night, it was 1800 hours, bases close together, spotlights lit up when you got within a mile of the base, the dominating craft was the 153 and hurri. Someone made a dam good showing in the Gladiator w/skids! Funny two guys showed up who used to visit when I hosted the original "Knife Fight" server. Been a year or so since I flew with them. The Fiat, while an extraordinary crap plane did take out a bomber by itself.
The Tb3SB is not to be trifled with, reinforced wings make it a ***** to force down-the added rear gunner makes it bloody rough to float up and chip away.
One bomber was taking off, so I grabbed a IAR and went to intercept I rammed it twice, had time to respawn and attack again, dam thing is so slow, hit it with one rocket (two attacks with the IAR suggested I try the I-16 w/rockets) and I still got killed. Got to love those crap planes.
I forgot to take any better screenies than this one, and it was an accident, I was jabbing at the teamspeak button.
