View Full Version : If you could curate singers and musicians for AC soundtracks...

Since everybody’s so excited to know about the people behind AC:U and AC:Ro soundtracks and everybody is often concerned of about who’s making the OSTs for the games and what genre and style should they follow...etc., share your ideas about whom you’d like to take part in future AC soundtracks whether they’re musicians or actual singers, mainstream or independent. It would be very interesting to have actual songs, not just scores and musical themes for the games.

In AC:U trailer, they used Lorde’s cover of “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” as a soundtrack and in AC;R’s Cinematic Trailer, they used “Iron” by L’Orchestra Cinematique. The made me imagine how it’s like to a have a song in the game, a song that is part of the OST album as well, whether sung specifically for the game (which is what I prefer) or a cover or remix, rework of an original track, or even the track itself implemented into the game with the credits or a certain epic scene or climax.

What do you think? discuss!

"Hide and Seek" - Imogen Heap

Run, Boy, Run - Woodkid, it's the perfect song for Assassin's Creed. Imagine a mission where dozens of guards surround the main character and his only hope is to run as fast as he can, then the chase starts, the player starts to control the character and this music starts to play.

Heavens Divide - Donna Burke. I know this is a song that was composed to fit in MGS Peace Walker, but I think it fits perfectly with Arno and Elise relationship. Also, it could fit in Rogue's plot.

Radioctive - Imagine Dragons. It player during the AC3 trailer, it could fit in AC Unity in a mission where you invade a target's house with hundreds of civilians destrying everything in their way.

Rebecca Black should obviously compose, write and sing all of the songs for every future AC game.

I think we can all agree that I am right and that you mere mortals are all below me.

For me, I think this (http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCulvnhLiRPJsZ59bJbPPFdA) guy could give the big shots a run for their money. I think he is just a fan with a great musical talent, but the soundtracks work beautifully with AC.

For a modern day soundtrack, Ninja Tracks would probably be great as they make amazing soundtracks that have a futuristic/ modernised feel, while still having elements of older music. Kinda like the AC series :p

Personally I would like period appropriate music and songs. That's one reason why Black Flag was so awesome, even if its marginally anachronistic, listening to those period folk songs brought that world to life in a way nothing else did. Or already in III we had The Beggar's Opera in the opening with some of the music.

The French Revolution had many popular folk songs, I wonder we'll have that in the original French or do we have to put up with plummy English for that too. But the revolution was also a time for baroque opera and classical music, they should use that music.

Yes, exactly! Unity's soundtrack needs to be more classical. :p

Yeah that actually sounds pretty cool...for more recent periods.

I mean if we were to get a game in ancient times (which we will get eventually) I don't want to run around listening to this weird stuff:

Edit:
Actually a re composed version of the ending of that song would actually be bad***!

Should AC ever goes to Ancient Sumer/Assyria/Babylon, may the soundtrack be composed by melechesh:

A dream come true, both the setting and the music... *sigh*
Those are epic! I’m a fan already. I love such type of music.

Hood Gone Love It by Jay Rock would be a perfect fit for an Assassin's Creed game. It has a gritty, consistent beat with meaningful lyrics and a rather addictive hook. I am one of the enlightened few who detest Lorde and her music, and her song in the ACU trailer really dealt a blow to my balls.

I believe that for their next trailer, perhaps Fall Out Boy should be used, and maybe even Cold Play's Viva la Vid, since it would have fit perfectly in the French Revolution than Lorde's crappy Everyone wants to rule bla bla bla the world bla bla bla feminism bla bla bla.
