well i start with this one:

graphic update:
1) Some planes do have silver colored metal painting, and i know that there is nice effects at directx which will make shines nice, example at coming hl2 has these effects and allready at shops being is some games (forgot name http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif ) using this effect

2) New fov modelling system:

graphic engine should make itself those plane sizes when plane is so far at horizon that you almost cant see it. Making models wich has 10meters high wings just becourse elseway it wont show at range of 1000 isnt nice. And there is other reason to do this ---> situation: when you switch between close/normal/wide viewmodes and if there is plane at far it makes this:

wide view: you can see that there is plane.

Normal and close view: plane does not show anymore or it is tiny tiny dot, hard to detect.

And becourse of fov system?:

Some land objects doesn't show from far enough. Lets make an example:

We have "HE-" type of bomber and you are gonna bomb some ships from alt of 3000. You can see ship shooting to your direction before ship even shows. And when you do fly (including keeping height and direction and fixing direction to target) and bomb targeting (speed correction, height correction and target height fixation) same time, you will get busy becourse ships doesn't show before they are 45 degrees at front of you.

I porpose a new, 3rd, network skin download setting

Existing 2 choices:
1) Skin download off
-No skin related network traffic at all.
-No skins used by the other players are visible.
2) Skin download on
-All skins are being distributed to all players.
This results in considerably more network traffic and often, even on good connections, in warping.

The new, third option:
3) Skin network traffic off
-Skins used by players that are already downloaded to your netcache (or pre-installed) ARE visible.
-Skins used by players not yet in your netcache (or not pre-installed in your skin folders) ARE NOT visible.
-Skins ARE NOT being distributed.
No additional network traffic, but you do see your regular enemies skins.

historical correct modelling of:

-flight characteristics
-weapon characteristics and effectiveness
-plane damage by weapons, g-forces etc...
-engine management including overheating

for ALL planes !

First of all, EVERYTHING Manuc said...
More adjustable realism settings...
More objects in mission builder (ground crews, those artilery and AAA guns look strange witout people who are actually shooting)...

This would allow a new cheat: Replace all skins in your netcache with bright yellow ones and it'll be much easier to find the enemy. Probably won't happen.

Ask butch2k for details concerning german planes http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/59.gif

I hate flying Heinkels that have just half of the historical load or completely wrong loadouts... or no 109F/190D/Hurri IIc/FM with stuff, P-47 bombs swapped, no AB/SD on 109/190s, no 1000s on 190F-8, no PBII rockets, no ER-4 on many planes etc etc etc http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Then apparently you don't know you can do that already. Use the country markings. Just replace them with some neon bright color and it works just the same. Bye bye visiblity problems. Allowing this is not a new cheat. The cheat exists already.

My wish: a good looking game and no network problems.

Idea

Make the onscreen display of the HUD host-configurable: you don't know for sure if you had any kills untill you landed. A full-real option of course.

Hi;

- Customizable bombs and rockets skins.
- More realistic night sky, without one of the sides iluminated as it is actually.
- More options to configure cowl flaps, speed brakes, flaps, engine mixture, supercharger than only "takeoff", "combat", and "landing", for example...
- More realistic high altitude sky wich show stars and darkness at a relative low altitude than in reality.

Thanks.

Different country folders for in-game music, also to be used for background chatter packs. The language that you will hear then match the country you are flying for.

We don't need any kind of music to be placed in these folders. The game just should provide them empty, and play the files that are placed there.

Perhaps it could be a server-side option to hide in coop and dogfight servers to see what plane the nme pilots are flying?
You only see the plane type for your own side, for the other side it just says
"seat01: GH_Aufpassen!"
"seat02: GH_X"
etc.

A folder to drop in a JPEG, that picture will show up in the brief screen now of the map with a switch toggle flipped. Allows recon photo's and extra mission information with support or escort battle plans and routes shown for better coop coordination. While at it, the ability to call it up with the mini-map.

Really great idea!
This should be a 3-way toggle:
1st hit - Brings up Minimap
2nd hit - Image
3rd hit - Text

Text should be editable (like chat) for pilot/personal notes

better chat interface, such as janes wwII fighters, if possible....and also from janes, the individual/team kills/losses, plz scrap the point system

Hi,

1. Different scoring:
a. Shared victories give shared points.
b. Points score reduces if hits detected after pilot has bailed/plane is no longer flyable (wing off/engine on fire) to cut down on stealing.
c. Bug fix to prevent kills given even if plane landed OK.

2. Views
a. Semi-transparent cockpit bars to simulate moving your head to increase visibility.
b. *Option* for arrows to be displayed around edge of screen while in cockpit on.
c. *Option* to have arrows modelled so as they don't give position information if there is no line of sight (i.e. bandit approaches from blind spot)- not affected by cockpit bars, however.

3. Sound
a. Better sound for planes. i.e. Not the same sound for Mustang and Spit as present.
b. No sonar as v2.04.

4. Better chat interface with line recall.

Cheers,
Norris

1. Take an existing cloud (or make a new bigger one), repaint it dark grey/black, and make it an FMB Object. Mission builders could then place smoke from previous missions to partially obscure a target. (fps shouldn't be any more of an issue than any other cloud now)

2. Give us back the ability to park AI planes in the FMB (with 0/0 waypoints), though for ALL planes, not just some. A couple of "real" AI planes mixed in rows of static planes makes a big difference in the feel of strafing missions (will make a huge diff with parafrags in PF, too, given the simple static plane DM)

3. Dump the disappearing planes after landing (or damaged/abandoned) on ground) or at least make it a toggle.

4. A waypoint toggle for AI, um, "bored" or "sleepy" or something like that. After said waypoint the planes would lose their 3rd eye in the back of the head that makes them jink as soon as you're lined up. They would only react if they were hit or you crossed their 3-9 line. The ability to bounce AI would be nice for some missions (inluding your own flight turning into an enemy you missed spotting).

5. It'd be nice if clouds broke AI's lock on you, or at least if they were in a cloud they'd not shoot.

6. (HH Dubbo sugested this in another thread) an "alert level" setting for vehicles, ships, and arty that would add some time from when they would normally shoot to when they actually start shooting, either a few states, or a time field like timeout. Ie: You surprise an airbase, alert is set to 3 minutes. The AAA would not shoot for 3 minutes after the first round they would fire without the timeout set. (useful for a Pearl harbor scenario, etc)

7. It'd be nice if you could tell your flight to try to maintain a certain minimum speed. This might get them to BnZ more (sucks to see your flight of P-38s start TnBing with a gaggle of zeros)

An entry in the conf.ini where we can set where we keep our skins (the folder/paintschemes). This would allow us to keep skins on a seperate hardrive.

Two changes, I think would be nice.

Include wake turbulance from other planes in the new flight model.

Allow you to set distance at witch player name shows up for both friendly and enemy planes (currently only works for friendly planes).

I can't wait for BoB http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

This should absolutely be added to IL-1fb/AEP/PF.

Also it would be nice to be able to fly artillery target spotting missions(and request for artillery fire) - this would bring a higher nescessity to destroy enemy groundtarget objects(nice to combine with recce missions).

Online flying on scripted servers these features would chance the emphasis from the eternal furballing to more real simulating of aircombat and missions.

Also larger maps would be top issues.
