Hello, this post do not concern BoB directly. I'm just asking myself something.

Since WWII Online is a constant Online playing world (like many other massively Multiplayer games), Wouldn't it be possible, in a close future, to make a constant online world for a sim?

Something similar to the 'VEF', but when you come from time to time, you log on the world and you appear in a map, a huge one but where people connect & disconect constantly. You could go to a safe area (airfield) get into baracks maybe.. have a discution with your squad members, and boom.. an attack, you rush out to your plane and take off. You would have to make sure to be on a safe area before you log off as well /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif .

Each time you come back online, the front changes.. you get new missions & targets. Many games are made like so. Why not a WWII sim? You could gain ranks ( within the sim comunity and someday order some squads to make a mission)

Playing the real thing would be nice.. very nice. CFS3 now has Jeeps that can be driven by you. You can drive around in a jeep. I think that future sims will be very close to what i sugest. The question is.. is it possible, if so.. when?

I would really like to see something like that, stats of people who didnt die once etc, got shot down survived longest person with the same plane

stats are always a good thing

novalogics blackhawk down stats are a good example where users can view the pilotnames medals and all thier stats.

Greatergreen server with FB Daemon script and objectives and statistics is very close to it right now...

It can be accessed from Lobby or the All Seeing Eye and the stats are here:

http://209.209.44.31/il2/stats/archivestats.html

As far as I know they also prepare better stats, ranks and medals...

I like greatergreen better than VEF, I think it is more realistic

It is down now temporarily but will be on again during weekend I hope

I think the author was talking more on the lines of a dynamic online MMORPG co-op. Which would be very cool.

rgr...

I ment, Having a constant envolving world dynamic. You get in the game (same map as previous days you played) and things have changed.. but the map never reloads.

Also, it would be better to have a huge map.. something like From London to Paris maybe. That would be a real map, where you can have LOT of scenerios, all at the same time. Different squads, based at different airfields.

The time would be realistic. 1 day in the game takes 1 day in real life. Weather could be changing at the same time.

Different kind of missions could be done.. such as recon.. you make recon with your squad... no enemies in bound.. you return home.. that's it. You get another mission later on if you're still online.

Missions could be generated by Humans, with high ranks within the army. That would be a great sims to my point of view.

I think that all of this could be made for the next sim or within the 2 next sims coming onto the market. From that time, sims will never be like we know them actually.

LMAO... Yeah.. u're Damn right !!

Actual FB maps don't give you much excuses to use a drop tank..hehehe.

Can't wait to see further work on Pacific maps.. Will they be big enough ?

To me.. Pacific means BIG distances which means Big Maps. MINIMUM Map size for a pacific map should be the size of the gulf of Finland map (the bigest one). That could cover small group of island.

My Best wish for the Pacific ... is to get an ENTIRE Pacific theater map.. but i think it's just a dream of mine.. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
