One question I would love to have cleared up for me

Is Aita continually reborn like when Edward killed Roberts is he permanently dead or was he reborn eventually leading to John having roberts memories? are they almost like clones of Aita with just his memories?

Not sure if I have worded that right but it seems a difficult question to ask although an easy one to answer from a a writer

Sages are born normally with their own personality and memories, but they also possess the memories of Aita. They bear a strong physical resemblance to Aita...

from what I understood you don't need to be a descendant of a previous Sage to become one, a hidden trigger implanted by Juno into human DNA is what'll make your turn into one so I don't think the Sages necessarily possess the memories of the previous ones, just Aita's..

As I understand it, Juno planted Aita's DNA in the human genome as a series of dormant genes. Every once in a very great while, two people bearing the right combination of recessive genes would have a child who bore the exact same genes as Aita, giving him both Aita's memories and appearance.

It's all complete bunk, of course, but that's how it works in the canon.
