How can I shut off the opening track that loads/plays when I start the game?

S! Johnwyp

Go to Ubi main directory and you will see a icon says set-up. Click that and on the the bottom left side..un-click "intro".

I had no idea that could be done.
Johnwyp, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain, listen to Falcon.

Go to the IL2 setup program. On the screen where you set your resolution and whether you use OpenGL or DirectX, there is a checkoff box at the bottom that says INTRO. It is checked by default, just uncheck it and the Intro track should not play anymore.

Whoops, Falcon beat me to it ! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif

The opening track has always been a matter of mood for me. Frankly, I don't think it's as good as the opener for the old Il-2 Sturmovik.

However, it does allow me time to go for a preflight whiz, and tells me when the game has loaded up. You can always abort the intro by pressing the <Enter> key while it's loading, or the 'Escape' key once it starts.

cheers

I also read about this in a previous topic, but you can also change what track plays in the intro. I don't remember the procedure exactly, but those who like the intro tracks can change it to a different one to add variety to the intros.
