So, i think with the catacombs and such in AC: U, there will be quite a few historical references or easter eggs in the game, one of these i hope would be of Phillebert Aspairt, who went missing in 1793 down the catacombs of paris, which we all know we are going to explore in game.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philibert_Aspairt

He is somewhat of a legend, and has a actual tomb at the spot where he was supposedly found in the tunnels, however no one knows if a body is in there.

So, what do people think of this? and does anyone speculate any references?, it would be surely creepy if something was referenced.

EDIT:

Heres the tombstone in the catacombs, supposedly haunted

Sounds awesome and I am sure that will be included in the game!

Good find!!!

Ubi is not particularly good at including easter eggs -AC IV had TONS of chances-, but this thing might be even in the main campaign.

Apparently he is quite a famous myth, and he goes missing during the time of the game, so we shall probably see him, is anyone thinking of other references?.

A Quasimodo or Scarlet Pimpernel easter egg is essential.

If none of the above are in the game I will be severely dissapointed.

Three Musketeers (probably a given, seeing as we've got what looks like Dumas' father in it) and a Les Mis one as well.

The Philosopher's Stone and Flamel? Doesn't really make sense timewise but so is Quasimodo.

I totally think that there should be some form of ghost too, you know, going round the underground.

As long as it ain't zombies I'm totally cool with it.
