Interested to see how many of the IL2 bunch will be in attendence to worship at the shrine of St. Oleg.

You might get to play Pacific Fighters...

It's not that far at all, I'm coming from south London!

Make sure you all visit the Ubisoft stand and say hi to us. We've got some fun things planned http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Some members of our squad went last year and met Oleg at Birmingham, i wondered if you could give us a taster of whats on offer as it is along way to go.Last year it was the AEP but apart from B o B which i assume is still along way off i assume it is just the Pacific fighters which will be out somepoint anyway.

Come either day at all, or both if you love our attention that much.

The only both babes will be us manly men, strutting our fine stuffs around and demonstrating things.

Mainly it'll be showing off Pacific Fighters and Oleg http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Hi,

I was going to try to organise a trip out with a few guys from the same server; dressed as Oleg (leather jacket, dodgy moustache) as a tribute to the maestro himself.

However, I'm off the Duxford FL instead.

Cheers,
Norris

I live just 10 miles down the road so I'll be there.

A cheap day out you might think. Not so. In order that I might be able to wander round at my leisure I'll be paying for my son and some of his friends to spend the day at the Pleasure Beach. So I don't expect to see much change from ‚£90.

Damned expensive hobby this IL2! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

I'll see your ‚£90 and raise you a further thirty for a posh hotel in the Lake District to take the missus to on the Saturday night, as a reward for spending twelve hours on the road with me over a weekend to go to a flight simulator conference.

*sigh*

Hmm, that sounds familar.

I've got to pay my bird off with a nice weekend (the requested Jimmy Choos are out of the question) for her suffering the "indignity" of going to Duxford in July!

Cheers,
Norris

My missus is really looking forward to Duxford. It's unsettling. I gave her a "flying lesson" the other day too, and she really enjoyed it. No enemy aircraft, just a take off, a few maneouvers and a landing; well, an attempt at one anyway.

I gave her the evil "Yeah and you can get your own f**king computer too" look, just so she doesn't start getting too carried away and think she can infringe on my flight time to practise. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/784.gif

Maybe I could tie a trip to Blackpool in with a visit north to see my family......

I am a looser who has no car... so I cannot go, even though I only live like 1:30 hours drive from blackpool...

Thankfully the XO of my Call Of Duty squad is going to attend, and he doesn't even fly hehe.. but he is willing to do it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif.
We gave him a list of questions, and told him to get millions of photies!

"As weaponry, both were good, but in far different ways from each other. In a nutshell, I describe it this way: if the FW 190 was a sabre, the 109 was a florett, or foil, like that used in the precision art of fencing." - G√ľnther Rall

Look Noobie, we already told you, we don't have the Patch!

Huxley_S
06-18-2004, 06:36 AM
I'm not going to be able to go after all... but will any of you who do go please ask Oleg when the patch is coming out and if this patch isn't including the new planes (Tempest, flyable Ju88s) when these are likely to come out.

After you picked yourelves up off the ground and said "we're not worthy!" that is.

That would be great.

Hi,

This sounds familiar. I let her loose in a 109G2 and she managed to get it off the ground OK, flew about and said, 'this is easy', to which my reply was, 'that's because you *are* doing the easy bit - try shooting something down.' Landing was a disaster, though, as was my first one.

I think that if they could fit a Rolls Royce Merlin to a pair of shoes, then get them to fly about, she'd be a lot more interested http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Cheers,
Norris
