With the real Ships repainting the boat was done constantly nescecary because of the high wear on the paint that active War ships suffer from. as soon as the rusted bladdered ship put out its anchor their would be Sailors retouching her wounded paint scheme or replacing it totally with a updated Camo scheme, Ships are moble and their inviroment chances as does the camo patern.

To put it simple, Give the Naval freaks, skinners under us the opertunity to change the Colours of the Fleet!
Ships skins just as Aircraft skins.

soo let me get this straight...you wanna skin yer boat, yes?...as in 'take the skinboat to tunatown'?....

I really like the character Burgess Meredith played in Grumpy Old Men, too. that line and "I'm from Hawaii...Iwannalaya" ...

And I think Luthier said that the ships will be just like in FB only that you will be able to switch their ID numbers so that 1c will only need to model one Fletcher class boat, for instance, and then mission builders can select that boat type and then assign various Ident numbers to them. Same with the similar carrier types etc...but whther that now means they will have templates that can be painted?...good question. Do you want to add cammo? or rust? or paint one of the subs pink? you skinboat lover you? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/34.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif

Considering there were 70+ Essex class alone with several different era liveries and mods, not a bad idea to have customization paint jobs. Really want to fly around a 10 carrier task force looking for some numbers to find home with low juice?

TunaTown? Ewwwwww!!!!

Thanks for that. I just had to explain that one to the wife who was reading over my shoulder.

"If you tell me that it is necessary that we fight, then in the first six months to a year I will run wild, and I will show you an uninterrupted succession of victories. Should the war be prolonged for two or three years....I have no confidence in our ultimate victory" - Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto.

I think you are in a mistake here. 17 is a better guess http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif 70+ must be the escort carriers. And to answer the original question, it would be nice, but I'm doubtful about it http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/52.gif

O, how I want to hold you,
To feel your breath
And hear your laughter in my ears.
To look into your eyes
And see myself in there.
Caress you with my lips.
To hold your hands in mine
And find the hidden smile in your dimple
That makes you irresistible
And stops the breathing in my chest.
To be with you when you are weeping,
To wipe away the tears and take away the sorrow.
To watch you while you are sleeping
Like there is no tomorrow.

And with a tender kiss to wake you up.

Checked, there were twenty-four completed and two in the process that they canceled. Still quite a few, think the 70 was the number used in the invasion of Okinowa, the Typhoon of Steel fleet.

Essex CV-9

about ships, will we be able to insert them like a normal object (like it is now). im asking cause this would allow you to have mobile 'airfields'. u could place a carrier anywhere.

also, anyone know if carriers can move?
