His 80s.

(He got plastic surgery after he joined the order, because he was not attractive enough to be an assassin)

I think Arno dies at the beginning of the game and we then play as his toddler son, whose name is also Arno.

Early 20's, I'm being serious here.

I think he was like 25, no?

EDIT: Never mind, he was born in 1768, so at the start of the French Rev, he was 21.

He actually meets the Assassins because they are looking for the same thing (his father's murderer, a Templar). He doesn't particularly seek them out.

I distinctly remember in one the videos (can't remember which one exactly) it was stated that he was inducted in the order around 21 or 22.

EDIT- You beat me to it :p

Well the French Revolution spans from 1789-1799

Arno was born in 1768...

He officially joined the order in 1789 which makes him 21.

So by 1799 he should 31...

So in Unity Arno will be from his early 20's to early 30's
( 21- 31) ;)

We actually never saw Connor become 30...

AC3 ended 1783...Connor was 27-28

And I hope not... ;) They might give him a beard like Ezio to show how much he's "evolved".

Connor grew up reaaaaally fast, must've had a real hard life to look like this in his mid 20s. If you compare his looks 2-3 years earlier. Same goes for Ezio. The time between Brotherhood and Revelations... na, I'll stop now. I hate discussing things that went wrong in AC.

But Arno in his mid 20s throughout the game will be interesting. He's not a teen anymore, but neither a fully adult. That could be something leading to problems with Elise (if there ever is/was a real love story planned)

^ LMFAO

Connor looked like he was in his mid 20s when he was 17 years old.

The last four years of Ezio must have been extremely rough. AC:R-Embers

And Edward looked exactly the same as when he began his piracy at a young age.

It only seems like Altair aged naturally...

@Dan

I agree...hopefully Arno and Elise have arguments and act very immature in the beginning, but get better as the story progresses...

I have a hard time getting a sense of time passing in the AC games. Somebody will be like, "Hey, remember when you assassinated that guy 5 years ago?". And I'm like, what? That was a few missions back. I guess I should pay more attention to the dates when they pop up because it always seems to me the games take place in the span of half a year.

Actually when the game starts... we play as arno before he becomes an assassin... So for all we know he could be like 18-19 or younger in the beginning of the game.

I don't really get this feeling, probably because I do a ton of exploring and side content before each sequence so it feels like more time has passed. It's not ideal, but at least it keeps it from feeling weird when Leonardo refers to Giovanni's death as "two years ago" when it was really like three levels back...

I think he's just a little kid. If I'm not mistaken we're going to see his real dad die (or if we don't see it, we'll at least be playing as 8-year-old Arno when he finds out).

Yeah I think the first missions will be like: Arno age 8 his dad dies *boom* Arno around his 20 his adoptive father dies *boom* Arno training to become an assassin

I had to show my ID last week when I wanted to buy a Blu-ray with age restriction.

But back to topic now. I would love to see a real development in Arno's life and actions throughout the game, best connected to his relationship with Elise. Would be cool to see a young wild Arno in the beginning, becoming a wise and mature guy in the end. I have the highest hopes for a good storyline this time. I was surprised by Black Flag, and I hope Unity ties on to this development.

Assassin's are born into a world of misery... they are molded and shaped by this... This is what makes them the best they can be... for within the world of darkness... the creed becomes a guiding light. Arno is no different in this respect... he is drawn to the assassins for personal reasons... but he stays because it is his rightful place. His life will be tragic, this we already know... How he overcomes the obstacles in his way... that is what remains to be seen.

Lol I started growing facial hair at 11. Started shaving at 13. I got that johnny depp Spanish looking type too but I hate it anyways. I think I could look good with it but meh I prefer to be clean shaven.

I can't stand that feeling on my skin. And it's cold in winter. ._. But better let's move to the off topic thread.

Last thing to Arno's story and age and life. Hidden pretty much said everything:

I was just like 'Daniela shaves her facial hair??' And then 'aahh he is a GUY'. I have to get use to that :)

I think Arno's stubble makes him look older.
Also truth what Hidden said.

I guess he could be in his twenties and I wonder if the game will take place for a short or a long period. Id love to see something similar to ACII where Ezio grew up from a teenager to a man in his 30s.

Well I partially agree but by the end when he had this beard, he looked completely different. I think they should’ve added another “phase” for him to show up somewhere in the middle. AC:B Ezio looked significantly different though and AC:R looked WAY TOO DIFFERENT for a such a short time gap between AC:B and AC:R. I mean from a first look you’d think it’s been 10 years in between, but it’s not and same for AC:Embers which was a great jump. I mean people don’t usually get so crippled when they’re 60. Look at Jessica Lange for example :P

Yeah but it was another time period. People usually didn't live over their 60s so it's pretty acurate that Ezio was too old. Also living the lifestyle of an assassin would be really hard on your overall health.

I know but I mean the gap between AC:B and AC:R was too short to cause that big of a change. So it’s either AC:B not changing Ezio enough or AC:R making him age much faster than he should’ve. But I’m actually happy and absolutely IN LOVE with all of Ezio’s looks, especially that of AC:R. He’s super handsome young or old, haha!

I also prefer ACR Ezio to his previous 'versions' he looks more serious and more like an assassin. In AC2 he was kind of a boy wearing the assassins robe, in ACR he didn't have that pretty Ezio face yet looked more handsome and as a true mentor.
