hi,

i'am looking for a solution to separate blue and red team in the plane choice screen:

when we are training, we start a team mission, and blue team select blue plane, and red red one.
but blue team can see in this screen wich planes are choseen by red, and vice versa.

any possibility to hide choice ?

any possibility to hide in game status ? (red see blue status and vice versa..)

i could be more real, and more fun if we can have some surprise !

help !

If you use the Full Mission Builder to make a mission/map then you can specify what planes are available on a base.

Use this to select only Blue planes on Blue bases and Red planes on Red bases, then the teams won't know what the opposition is flying until they're in the 'pit and they hit S. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

(And separate briefings are also possible for the different teams.)

True. To get separate mission birefings, use HTML tags. i.e.;
<RED ARMY> <BLUE ARMY> then write the description for the appropriate side. The 'Short Description' will be seen by all at the initial launch but until they pick a plane they won't see the full briefing, and then only for their side.

Hope this helps.

and how to avoid each side see each other ingame by the status command ("s" key) ?

can the hosting guy desactivate this command ?

There is no way to disable that. Nor is there any way to prevent people from reading both the red and blue briefings.

Glasnost has gone too far...

Nothing can be done about it. You can set up the briefings so that you can only read the briefing for the side you've selected, but there's nothing to stop someone "changing their mind" and selecting a plane from the other side, consequently seeing both briefings.

The in game "s" key is completely outside the host or mission designer's control, you're going to have to live with it.
