I have read that in the leaked 202 the Brewster enigne bug was fixed.

I know I broke a couple of enginis on my B-239, but what is the bug? I always thought it came from overreving. Might be a wrong assumption, though.

Since some people were glad it was "fixed", what was wrong in the first place?

Hm, 100 hits but no reply.

Now is there a bug or is there no bug?

You can damage the B-239 engine from overreving. Usually around 550-600km/h in a dive, at 100% pitch and throttle.

Though, there may be a seperate engine bug I am unaware of.

yep, till 2.01 you can overriew your enginge in a Brewster in a high speed dive - on of the very few with a ConstantSpeedPropeller

in 2.02leaked its gone, no overriew anymore

Thank you.

I don't think they fixed a bug, then.

In 2.01 you could even destroy your engine in a shallow dive on the desert map at ~400 (? IIRC) km/h. Compared to the other aircraft the B-239's engine was extremely sensitive. Instead of cooling down in the dive it was overheating completely.

Even if you worked with pitch?

Who is flying B-239 outside of Finland anyway? ;-)
