It's an old 3rd party add-on for the old IL2.
Most people find it to be a waste of money, since almost all the new missions and skins can be found elsewhere. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/59.gif

Yes, it is a waste of money. Fortunatly I won my copy and I've never bothered flying it.

I wouldn't join any club that would have ME as member!

Actually, it was a pretty good Campaign made for the original IL2 game.
He had it as a free download for a long time up until version 2.0 than it went to matrix games for sale as an add on. It works with the latest version of IL2 as well.
There is a copy of the free version at http://simjunkie.com/phpnuke/ if you are interested. Lots of people enjoyed it and many still do but to each his own they say.

Lol, so you never tried it but you know it's bad. You must be god. Or just fond of talking bull$hit.

Metallicaner, try the forum search. A lot has been written about this add-on, not only by people who didn't play it.

I flew the original free version in IL2 and thoroughly enjoyed it. No excess of active planes and objects to hit my frame rate on my then 866P3. The 200 missions got me flying the 190 much better.

I got the original free download and played it in the old Il-2 and enjoyed it immensely. It was vastly better than the stock campaign, and realistic in the time required per mission.

I spent the money on the new version (and it is essentially similar but not quite the same, and it adds a bunch of individual missions as well as skins) and am currently playing both campaigns now. I don't feel ripped off at all. I'm getting something like 5 or 6 hundred hours of new missions, plus skins, for $20. That works out to 15 cents per mission or less. Way cheaper than an arcade. Luthier worked a lot of hours to put this together, and he earned his money.

cheers
