View Full Version : Silly things that bother you about Assassin's Creed

Do you guys have things that bother you about any of the AC games?

It always bothers me how Cateraina Sforza got out to that small Island alone.

1. Where was her guards.
2. Where was her boat, there isn't even one close enough to have floated away.

Clipping and freerunning, even though I've grown tolerant of them.

So you thought carrying him to the next mission point would make him miraculously get revived and carry on living a templar-ridden life of cruelty and manipulation - Great! xD

P.S talking of templars, I thought Unity would suggest assassins and templars would team up!

There is a part in AC3 when Connor see's the guard with the tea... everytime that cutscene happens a carriage rides through connor... it jist ruined the whole moment...

no I was wondering how far through the game i could carry him. not very, it seemed.

Though I was able to carry connor's friend for 20 whole minutes.

It's impossible. In Desmond's vision Ezio was wearing Altair's armor but Desmond said he looked older, but Altair's armor was destroyed in the Siege of Monteriggioni, before Ezio looked older enough for Desmond to comment on it, seeing as he had only seen AC2 ending/ACB beginning Ezio.

I believe we should be allowed to strangle people with their own intestines or use those annoying children as human shields so the game can be more gruesome and brutal, and therefore more fun

Maybe the brutality of the french revolution will set the bench mark of Assassins Creed going into ultra realistic macabre ?

Just hoping .

Desmond saw Ezio's "ghost" during the Villa attack, when Ezio was trying to help Claudia and Maria to escape. The other time he saw his ghost was when Ezio went back to the Colosseum to place the Apple there. No plotholes there.

Anyway, little things that bug me: Caterina's dress, or any kind of dress-like robe (even on male characters). Seriously, it always looks like they're bending their knees while walking and it looks really weird.

you couldn't select the redcoat, merc, Haytham's bloody clothes, and in-game captain uniform in AC3 but you could select the Prisoner outfit

Edward's beard. In the light it looks like 5 o'clock shadow, but in the dark (i.e. in the captain's cabin) it looks like he's gone full Santa Claus.

The stupid pistol shot sound effects in AC3.

The huge splash that happens whenever you wade into deep water.

Altair's accent (though this wasn't a silly little thing for me, it damn near ruined the character)

No!

Once Desmond reaches the Sanctuary, he sees Ezio and says
"He looks so old , Ezio must have come back WAY after the attack" And Ezio was carrying Altair┤s Armor...

Wasn't Altair's gear salvaged from the villa though? I distinctly remember a notification telling me that my recruits had retrieved something, though it may have just been the sword. I don't know, it's been a while since I replayed ACB, it being my least favorite.

This is why we need disguises in the series. I loved how Aveline was able to enter restricted areas by dressing up as a slave/servant.

Well he knew who his father was, and the portraits were all labelled.

That is one of mine though - the amount of father/son discovery stuff that happens off screen.

I don't think (only) disguises are the solution in this case, not all restricted areas in AC seem to be places where no one other than authorized personnel are allowed to stay, that's why we have civilians in some of these areas, but it's kinda strange to not be allowed to even enter certain areas just because we are carrying some weapons, yeah, the guards should be more apprehensive because of that but this doesn't mean we should be attacked on sight for simply entering the perimeter when many civilians (that coould have their weapons concealed) are already there.

I think an approach similar to hitman would work better in some situations (disguises would be a plus of course, giving us more time before we are detected) where the guards will recognize/harass us if we walk towards them facing them.

ps: this shouldn't be the norm to ALL restricted areas but for some them it would make more sense than what we have now.

The whole "Leap of Faith" thing... I mean I understand its purpose as a gameplay mechanic and all but I just can’t get over how unrealistic it is. Somehow this is the thing that breaks my willing suspension of disbelief in a game series that features highly advanced ancient technology, a precursor race that created humans as slaves and a secret war that has raged for 80000 years...

Or you could do what i did, make a sh1t load of money on the fleet game, and buy the skins. Never bothered with 90% of the hunting. Only did the bits that were required for actual missions :D

Locopells
06-09-2014, 03:24 PM
Yeah, I noticed that one - since the fleet carries over to all savegames, you just go into the game 36 hours ahead of your playthrough (if you're that organised) and send all your fleet on the missions with 5000R rewards, which allows you to get all armour and all four holsters, right from the get-go...
