I copy my own post this from the thread "...unofficial poll" because of this:

IL2/FB is showing such a good potential, only Oleg is doing simpel mistakes in my eyes so he prevents a better success of his own game. Sorry, I can't understand it and I know the following is not new for (the most of) us!

Look:

1)
always only working on FM and always you can read "now it's correct!" ... untill the next patch.
And the result of all?
In offline mode it is unplayable, because the FM's and first of all the AI is a (full) mess meanwhile.

2) There is no work for the very important points "atmosphare" and "dynamic".
And Oleg could do something for it with every patch!
Look at RedBaron or Falcon4! These 2 points are one of the most important reasons for the success of these games!

Only this: why don't we have different (and better) music for every menu side meanwhile, a better (de)briefing, a better kneeboard? Were are videos and sounds for hospital-time, decoration-videos, disciplinary measures, transfers, missing-reports, etc.?

Always only FM's and than always with basic mistakes again! And in addition Oleg has no creative phantasy for the other important things !

We buy it because it is the most modern sim, but offline, be honest please, we play IL2/FB a few missions and than... ... ?


I don't want to say only negative things. IL2 /FB is showing very good potential, has a nice base and I like it!!!
But these mistakes in the concept of the game I don't understand any longer.

I hope these things are better with the new AddOn too. But I'm not very hopeful.

On THIS WAY it is enough for me!

Just one small correction, I don't think Falcon 4.0 made any money. But it was still a good game.

It is unfortunate that sim developers believe that a solid core game can only be achieved at the expense of all aesthetic qualities. Rather than simulating only the technical aspect, its important to simulate the experience. B/c a flight sim that is technically accurate, but does not ressemble real life, is not a game but a toy or a tool.

But I think IL-2 has does this well. The graphics are OK, and though kind of cartoony, its pretty immersive. Just if the interface wasn't so crude and we could get real briefings and so forth (not to mention decent grammar and spelling), it'd be great.

You can provide a smilie with basic food, housing and education for less than the cost of a cup of coffee. Look at how miserable they are, poor, unkempt, and beating the crap out of each other.

Why can't we add movies between missions , recon maps why don't we have triggers and events? Hate to say but immersion is not the strongest point of IL2FB , too bad. I was a cfs2'er 2 years ago (time to time I fire it up just for carrier landings and the Corsair) and I will never forget how this game kept me months to finish the campaigns. In FB , even with the dynamic one is boring. I play quite 1-2 mission/week in campaign. Sounds like QMB is more fun. And also spend my time in the fMB but I'm limited by the option we have there.Why is that?
