And if yes, how and with which sticks?

Thanks

I think Tully and RBJ did this. Not saying they're the same person though. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Yep, i use this setup. Just plug both sticks in, and Use the joystick for the Rudder, elevator, fire control, etc. Then, down at the very bottom of the controls page, under HOTAS, set the controls using the X45 throttle.

you can use 2 sticks of different makes, someone i know put the x45 joystick out of the way and plugged his sidewinder in then the usb as well and used that and the throttle on there own.

I use the X45 with the MSFFB2. I use the entire X45..I dont put the stick behind my monitor..which is a waste IMHO. I use the Saitek stick as a button bay. The only parts of the Saitek stick that I dont use are the pitch & roll inputs on the stick. Every other part of that stick, every button, every knob, every switch is used for something. For basic flight and weps I use the MSFFB... It is doable, highly programmable and highly recommended. Anyone who uses the X45 in conjunction with another stick in this sim and doesnt use the X45 stick is shortchanging themselves.

O K,
You've stated on the tech page you have a profile available for download. I have a Sidewinder FFB and X-45 and I would like to see what you've mapped.
I've responded to your post on the Tech site about downloading your profile off your website but I keep getting a corrupt file indication after downloading and then I can't get back into your site to try to reload.
Any help here please?
BTW what the heck does postnewbie try again :-) mean?
hobiewan the curious.

I briefly had my racing wheel set up as rudder pedals with my X-45, but found the car type pedals to be unsatisfactory in that role. The game handled two controllers very well though.

I know quite a few people use the M$ FFB2 with the X-45 throttle and are very happy with the results.

Bearcat Rocks!!
Took me about 20 minutes after I read your post to bring out the FF2 that had been sitting in a box for six months. I had tried this stick. But after using the X45 the FF's wimpy throttle and lack of buttons did nothing for me. I only liked the FF and the feel of the small stick vs the X45's Baheemouth feel of a joystick. An hour after I read the post I feel like "Honey I shrunk my desk". Lined up from left to right the desk includes. Microsofts Strategic Commander, X45 Joy, X45 Throttle, Mini(12inch)Keyboard and finnally Microsofts FF2. Oh yeah and there was a bit of room for the mouse. CH usb pedals work the rudder and programing was sooooo easy.

Thanks Bearcat. I value your opinions and heed your advice. I been at this for 3 years and I beleive I now have the ultimate setup. I hope we can hook up sometime and go kill some stuff.

Thanks

Maico
