Hi ,

sometimes online , it feels like "server" and "host" or "host/host" don´t have the same settings.
Could this be possible ?.
Im not talking about concrete cheating with external hacks or similar.
I mean the intern options of FB , like "no externals" ,or "icons on"

If someone flyes with easy settings , the other on with hard ... its like playing Guitar with Mark Knopfler , only having 3 fingers on the right hand... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Are the serversettings being checked continiously during play?
could it be possible to override server-settings during online game startup ?
im not acusing anyone , still a simply Yes or No would be ok.

I wish BoB will become "same difficulty for all" especially the cockpit coded unreversible in the exe ...always on.

kindly,
immele

Hi,

As long as I've been playing client uses server settings on an online game. And you can't change these settings once you have connected to the server. As far as I know there is no bipass that can be exploited.

there are however some things you can consider here if thats what he means, you can use the sound exploit by hearing planes BEHIND you hundreds of meter away (im talking FR servers)
i know this because the allied guys got a huge advantage because alot of planes got mirrors to check their six(this counts for any plane) ,so when i attack IE a spitfire and i can crawl behind his six unnoticed lower then he can see in his mirror then i know hes using the sound cheat because he never should have seen me right? but nonetheless all the sudden he starts making evasive moves because he can hear me comming just like he has a big blue arrow pointing behind like you have with WW view

maybe im wrong but is this where your talking about for example?

Host player has no ping time, zero lag. Connected players do.
Some connected players have less lag than others, some much worse.
Those are internet realities. Best you can do is not play where
you have much lag.

hi maxgunz ,

ok , thats a hell of a "tweak" the "sound-from-far" ,not quite fair. ur describing just the situation i meant :
"how the **** could he have noticed me ? "

I cincerely hope that Diomedes is right concerning no way to change settings when host is firing up /dwnloading mission properties.

on the other hand.... it´s just a "value away" , and if theres a debug prog out there that filters the incomng data and when the
value : "no externals" comes dwn then replace 0 with 1...... .-(

sure , every game is somehow cheatable ,, just wondering if the FB inbulid cheatdetector wich came with a patch , also
contiusly checks the host settings.

or maybe im getting paranoid http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Maybe paranoia.

Perhaps you don't know this. Many people play teams and there are programs to have
voice communications with your team mates, your wingmen. One is Roger Wilco and
another is TeamSpeak to mention just two. So maybe it is another player who sees
you and tells the one where you are.

Yes with sound setup right, you can turn your engine down and external sounds up
to hear someone coming up on you. I think it's nearly default depending on your
soundcard and setup so someone can do that without intending to cheat or be unreal.

But if it's just his FM seems better then it's probably he has no ping (well, very
miniscule tied to the rate the sim processes motion as opposed to frames).

Host will always have the advantage online.

Host has no ping therefore no lag and incomparison to player a and player b sending/ receiving information through host, host gets both players information in half the time it takes a to send to b to resend to a.
